Amazing restaurant! Great vibes, delicious oysters & hush puppies, the best service. Everything came out quickly, correct, and tasted delicious!

The oysters came with a fun an tasty sauce arrangement. There was a cool oyster shell chandelier in the women’s bathroom (the men’s was sadly lacking such decor). Our waitress Amanda was very helpful answering all our questions and humoring our request for a good beach to visit while we were there.

It was our friends birthday and they brought her a free slice of key lime pie! No theatrics or singing, which we were grateful for.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was not very busy at all.

Definitely recommend, and we will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Me and my family LOVED it. We went for my mothers in laws birthday and our waiter Matt was great! He even asked if we wanted to order my one year olds food first to get it out fast. (It was really thoughtful) I would recommend trying this spot. The service was fast and everybody was nice and the food was really good!! 100/10 from me!

Fresh fish and friendly staff make this a great place to experience when in the area. Food was a bit salty for my personal tastes but I appreciated the fact that the meat was seasoned. Drinks were ok – strong for sure. She Crab Soup was my fave. Appears to be a local fave and we came after the recommendation from our hotel staff. Our waitress Amber was extremely helpful and friendly even while she was very pregnant. Recommend.

Added a photo of my husband’s scallops because they were plated so beautifully! This place is amazing. We always have a difficult time finding a seafood restaurant (husband’s favorite food) because of my severe shellfish allergy. Harpoon Larry’s went above and beyond to accommodate us. Staff was super helpful and sweet. They food was absolutely wonderful! 11/10, we will definitely be back. This is now one of our favorite spots in Hampton Roads!!

We had a group of 14 with 1 handicapped person. We were only offered high top tables which was difficult for our handicapped person. Also they pushed 2 tables together and we were sitting elbow to elbow. We convinced them to add another table so we could be comfortable. The waiter did not clear the table during our meal. We were dealing with stacks of dirty dishes through our meal. The crab dip appetizer was tasty but the rest of the food was unimpressive. Our Treasurer made the comment that we would not come back here again.

EXCEPTIONAL! It has high reviews for a reason!!! I wanted food with a view and it did not disappoint! They have weekend specials in the bar area but only a couple of dollars off (2/3$). Staff is extremely friendly. Boats can just pull in which lets you know their clientele…. But the views and food are spectacular. PLEASE GET THE CALAMARI W/ BANANA PEPPERS. I ate the whole plate and the portions are huge. Prices are actually not that bad either for seafood in this particular area and that’s probably because you have to tip for the ‘’complementary” valet parking. 10/10 recommend and will be back again.

Great seafood! Great drinks! Great atmosphere! It’s worth the visit. The fish is very fresh and prepared the way you like it. Love the Orange Crushes. Very popular spot at the beach. May take a little time to get parking, but all parking is valet. Nice service. Love the waterside seating.

Amber was a real pleasure and provided a great description of the oyster selection. Both oyster shooters were great. The 007 wasu preference. The raw oysters slaw and fries (staples in my mind) were perfectly seasoned. The she crab was hearty and well seasoned. A few splashes of hit sauce were more because of personal preference only. The view and vibe were equally fantastic. Sitting over the water never gets old.

Loved, loved, LOVED this place. Totally my vibe. Low key, and right on the water. LOTS of indoor and outdoor seating on the waterfront. Three different buildings connected together. Fun watching the boats dock, order, and be served right in their slip. My new fav in VA Beach!

Very lively place with a river view and tons of cool seating. Its on the water. Picnic tables, friendly service. But beware of the prices! Way too high for a fish sandwich. Valet parking is a plus

Food was pretty good but we come from a coastal town in North Carolina and there are many options for us that are equal or better for less money. The service is great here, the food is plentiful, but there isn’t much competition around, so I think it’s rated higher than it would be if it wasn’t the only restaurant for several miles. Also, the parking lot is large, but full of potholes. Sorry I can’t justify the 5 stars many others give them, but don’t pass it up because of me

A local, iconic, one of a kind place. From the food to the service to the atmosphere , this place is a must visit!
Amazing fresh seafood served in many ways. The she crab soup is the best you’ll ever have. One should never come here and not have the soup.
Service is down right wonderful. Friendliest wait staff and food done exactly how you want it.
Whether a local or an out if towner, do yourself a favor and stop in for a meal

Nice spot off the beaten VA beach tourist area path with a great atmosphere, drinks, food and merch. We did flounder and salmon so can’t speak on the other seafood. I did hear that it was like the only or best place for blue crab in the area. Definitely worth the short drive.

All the reviews are true!! This place is amaziiiing! We went to two places closer to the happenin part of VA Beach but they were so crowded and the wait was so long we said forget it and drove the extra 15 to Margie & Ray’s. It was worth the drive. We sat outside in the porch area. The digs are nothing fancy. The ambiance isn’t either but the waitresses are excellent and the food is spot on! She crab soup. Yes honey. So good. I got the seafood platter with 3 options – I don’t remember what it’s called. Also they do have a full bar and cocktails. That’s what we really wanted was a place that had some good drinks and it was hard to figure out from the reviews or their website if they served drinks but yes they do! And they’re delicious and a good deal! I took a pic of the drink menu if that helps.

Beautiful waterfront restaurant with an outside cabana area and an outside dining area. Awesome view either way you decide.
The staff was friendly and always smiling. The food was fresh and came out fairly quickly.
The calamari was delicious and just perfectly cooked. It was served with a house marinara which was good but the aioli was to die for. We ate it with everything… our fries and on our burger. It had just the right amount of spice and was smooth and full of flavor.
The lobster roll was fresh and tasted like the sea which is what I love.
The burger was perfectly cooked and the egg was just right so when you bit into it the yolk just felt like velvet.
Great place with a great ambiance.

The place is nice they have valet parking which is helpful. We waited for our food for a very long time so long they discounted it to half off. The waiter was very nice, the food was not good. My crab cake sandwich was so sad, but at this point I couldn’t wait any longer and I for sure was not sending it back. The tuna tacos were not good either. If there is anywhere else open with even a 20 minute wait go there first. If there is no where else to go then come here. Oh the nachos were okay.

They have valet parking so bring cash for them. They gave us options for brunch where we wanted to sit, outside when it’s 50-60 degrees is not a good idea on the water, sit in the glass sun area, it was perfect!

Ellie was our waitress and she was so sweet and kind! Best server !

Food recommendations: any crabdish, western omlette, shrimp and grits for sure!!!

Photo op: fisherman statue, multi color chairs and on the water

Really nice place right on the marina with fantastic views. We had the Sandbridge Seafood Pasta with the Alfredo sauce and it was the most delightfully creamy decadent pasta that came piping hot! There were delicious large portions of scallops, shrimps, and fish. The Oysters Rockefeller were also spectacular! I wish I got the dozen!

I was really wanting some seafood while in town so we went here for lunch today. Apparently it was ladies day/night so Crushes were $5, I had a strawberry crush and also an orange crush and I also ordered fried oysters which came with french fries and coleslaw. The oysters were good but I think it was too much batter on them. The coleslaw was some of the best I’ve had except for my own homemade. I only ate 4 fries but they were good. I also ordered a half dozen steamed oysters which were delicious! Don’t judge me…I’m on vacation!! LOL. I was born and raised in Va so I have eaten here before but it’s been a while. Good food..good server and a great view!!

Good food and quick service. This place gets real busy real quick , we were searching for soft shell crab sandwiches and found Bubbas to have it thus came over. We came in a bit after 11 AM for the dine in lunch and we were the third full table but the next 15 minutes saw the restaurant getting full and a waiting queue created. Call to make reservations to avoid wait times.
We loved the water side dock sitting and the amazing food. We ended up ordering catch of the day fried flounder sandwich and grilled mahi mahi steak both came out yummy and in just perfect quantities.
    Highly recommend ? this restaurant.
