We went to the restaurant based on an article in the Washington Post highly praising the food. We were not disappointed. Our waitress was very knowledgeable when I had questions about the wine choices. I had grilled octopus for appetizer and my partner had asparagus soup. Both were excellent. For entree we both had salmon. It’s superbly grilled, tender and juicy. It shows the chef’s calibre because salmon (and chicken breast) could be dry when overcooked. My partner also had a chocolate tort for dessert that he said was delicious.
One minor minus for the attention of service: I was into the first bite of my appetizer when I realized that there was no napkin offered. The waitress initially brought only silverware. We had to ask for it. But overall, it was a great dining experience.
By Nicky Yu (5 months ago)Sardine is absolutely wonderful. The service is always spot on and the food is unbeatable. I love sitting near the open kitchen with the brick oven. Watching all the yummy food going in and out helps me choose my dish. Brunch was excellent we all enjoyed each dish. The Croque Madame hit the spot and after we all finished we followed it up by sharing the amazing Belgian waffle, a perfect ending to brunch!By Miranda Merkes (10 months ago)What a great find! We had a really hard time choosing, everything on the menu sounded amazingly good… and the things we had were! Call for a reservation so you’re not disappointed. Excellent and friendly service. Outstanding cocktail menu as well! A little hard to find during construction, it is BEHIND on the back side of the Bicycle building.By Susan Baranoff (4 months ago)Truly one of the best places in Madison. The atmosphere can’t be beat, with the fresh bistro elegance, lakeside seating, and charming service. Everything here has been fantastic, from the endless oysters, mussels, to even their burgers and other treats (you’ll die happy eating the chicken liver toasts). Grab an absinthe or excellent house wine and enjoy.By Jordan G. Hardin (4 months ago)Awesome experience. Sam was a great waiter, very interactive and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. The steak and octopus were like butter. Mussels were ridiculously good as well. As someone who loves cooking, the open kitchen concept is just pleasant to observe the hustle and bustle.By Alan Baryudin (6 months ago)

Was here for a birthday party. Overall experience was great! Friendly staff, food which was flavorful, drinks were made well. Service was good. Only feedback was the bisque was too thick to my liking and to add texture to it otherwise no other bad bites on the plate. Mike our sever was great!By Michelle Reichhart (a month ago)Excellent service. Excellent price quality but bare in mind that the prices are relatively high. I definitely recommend the cheese cake, the lamb chops with mint, the bone in rib-eye and the seared tenderloin. The environment is informal but there is a dress code. Keep it elegant. Dark space decoration , with table cloths. Good quality wine glasses. The meat is extremely tender and well prepared so highly recommended.By Carlos Ribeiro (2 months ago)Went for my bday and enjoyed it. I got special treatment in the form of a card, table confetti, and free dessert. The waiter was witty and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere felt fancy but my mother noticed some dusty areas. I wouldn’t have noticed if she didn’t tell me, but they were there. The cocktails and the food was delicious. Even the butter for the bread was good. I will definitely go back and I recommend it to others. It’s pricey, but I feel like we got our money’s worth.By Tamika Harris (a month ago)Ordered lobster Mac, not worth the price..all the noodles at the top were HARD. Sliced fillet mignon was BOMB and the chicken breast was good! Drinks were cool..a bit over priced for them to have so much bottom shelf liquor. Great atmosphere besides the loud older guy at the bar. All in all Capitol Grille is okay in my book!By Krystol Hilson (6 months ago)The chicken was delicious. It takes a lot to impress me with good chicken. The service was friendly but almost felt rushed. The desert choices were AMAZING everything tasted really good (we had samples of each). Definitely worth trying at least once!

I’ve been here twice. It was fantastic. The last time was for our anniversary. Everything was quality and made with love. I think the service and atmosphere sets it over the top though. We ate on the covered and heated porch outside in the winter and it was lovely. They even surprised us with an anniversary dessert with fireworks! I would recommend & return.By Christina Hartwig (9 months ago)Easily our new favorite. I can not say enough about both the quality of the food and the expertise of the staff. Palmers is over the top! We would highly recommend to any steak lover as well as any seafood lovers as well. Everything is top notch all the way!!!By Charlie Goersch (3 months ago)It’s way overpriced for what it is and they literally have someone watching you to make sure you give up your table on time. That being said, steak is steak and our server was kind. Still, I’ll never come again.By Andrew David Greer (3 months ago)One of my favorite restaurants!
Great place for steaks, chops, and seafood. Salads and appetizers are not to be missed. Great wine selection and mixed drink menu. Very reasonable prices for the quality you get. The service has always been fantastic.
Highly recommended!By M. Harrison (a month ago)I hate to give 5 stars because more people will go and make it harder for me to get a table. Our evening began with drinks at the bar. The 2 bartenders greeted us almost immediately and the drinks were made well.
The menu offered an ample amount of appetizers and dinner options. The evening we dined they even had 4 dinner specials.
The ladies had a conventional dessert from the menu, but the men ordered something from the bar, 2 pours of William LaRue Weller. Outstanding.
If you’re wondering about cost, our evening was quite expensive, but there are cheaper alternatives available.

Wow, I am NEVER disappointed when I come to tempest! A little heads up — They only take reservations right now. To begin with, i love everything on this menu. My mom loved her old fashion. The caesar salad was amazing and my parents always get the shrimp cocktail. I really loved the Shrimp Po’boy with fries.By Lucy McChesney (3 months ago)The food was amazing, from presentation to every bite. Sea bass was glazed and slightly sweet. Mussels were delicious. Requires reservations. Highly recommend.By Justyna Nielsen (8 months ago)The happy hour specials were fantastic and the oyster selection was truly amazing considering Midwest location. I’ll be back! Grab the Bosus if you can. The most interesting oyster I’ve ever had.By Steve T (a month ago)This place is an awesome, unique, sheek while non pretentious, amazing place to go for Oysters. It’s one of our favorites for special occasion happy hours! Their house cocktails are delicious, and they even have a couple “mocktails” that are intentional and great to drink as well. Definitely check it out!By Samuel Eifert (Sam) (2 months ago)Another fine dining establishment owned by Henry Doane. Everything from the environment, food, and staff were excellent. I spent 2 hours there and it didn’t even feel like it because I was enjoying myself so muchBy Rancorous (7 months ago)

Eddie Martini’s wasn’t on our radar until a few weeks ago and I’m sure glad that we tried it out! It was such a great experience, across the board. We were able to get a seat in the dining room and had a filet and a dry aged rib eye. Both were incredible. We also had drinks to match the name of the restaurant. The staff did an amazing job and everyone was incredibly hospitable and accommodating. I would absolutely put Eddie Martini’s up against all the other steak houses in the area.By SCORE SE Wisconsin (a year ago)On a whim my father suggested we go here. At 5:10 on a Monday night we got the last available table, so plan ahead! The food and drinks were fantastic – as a long time martini aficionado I ordered the Eddie Martini and it was exquisite. The lobster bisque was outstanding, and the filet mignon was divine. There’s no official dress code but most customers were in business casual or beo. The service was excellent (despite our lack of style), and if you’re looking for something special we highly recommend it.By Scott Hartman (4 months ago)Great ambience, friendly staff and excellent food. Good for a family outing or for business lunch or dinner. Was here couple of times and they even have the wagyu beef steaks which is awesome. I am a raw oyesters fan and one of the best oyesters I have had in a while. They do not have oyesters in their menu so you have to ask specifically. The crab cakes were also delicious. Tasted real and not like any fake meat.By Yogesh Vijayan (9 months ago)Food and waitstaff were excellent. Food came out fresh and delicious. Bartender was consistent with drinks and service.By Matt Hud (a month ago)What a special surprise this restaurant was! From appetizers to dessert to drinks to service, five stars! Shout out especially to Amber and her co-workers for providing an exceptional dining experience!By R K Nibbe (a year ago)
