  1. One of my memories when I think of Myrtle Beach is Captain George’s. My parents would stop here when I was a child and now as an adult I got to share the experience with my kids. We arrived early enough on a Friday to get the early bird special . The early bird took $3 off the price but is was still $44 per person and 23 per child. The outside of the restaurant is gorgeous. My kids love throwing money into the fountain outside. The inside is equally as stunning. The large Buffet is set up like a ship. The restaurant was incredibly clean and functions very well despite being very busy. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Most of the food was very good. The crab legs were a bit cool and were hard to crack and the desserts were subpar. Everything else though was very hot and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the fried scallops, she crab soup, shrimp, sausage, and salmon. The only reason it’s not a 5-star review is because of the condition of the crab legs. Other than that it was fantastic!

  2. Captain George’s is the best seafood calabash in all of Myrtle Beach. I live in Charlotte, and I have to make the trip to Captain George’s at least once a year. Their main star is their crab legs, which have great flavor and are very juicy. Another great thing about the buffet is they have a great selection of seafood and meat so you can’t go wrong with any option. I loved their Mahi and their raw oysters as well. Their muscles and shellfish options are also delicious. A must visit in Myrtle Beach!

  3. I come here every time I come to the beach. They never miss. The crab legs are seasoned so well alone, but even better with the reddish seasoned butter. I admit I go mainly for the crab legs but everything else I have tried was great as well. They had a cinnamon roll cake dessert that was out of this world. Pro tip: go EARLY! Like as soon as the doors open, it gets crowded extremely fast and that could put a damper on your experience but the food is still worth the wait in my opinion.

  4. I found it to be a little bit over pricey but I guess if you like crab legs and you can eat all you want. It’s a good deal but I kind of wish I went to a regular sit down and serve restaurants for the price. The design of the place was very nice. Kind of reminded me of being on a cruise ship with the buffet. The waiter and waitress service there was very good and I found the food to be okay. They did have a wide variety

  5. I had a great time at Captain George’s. The food was amazing. They make sure to refill and replenish all the food quickly and it’s neat. The crab legs were delicious w hot butter. $44.95 per person for the buffet. I had a Painkiller for $10.99 which was a nice strong drink that our waiter recommended. He was very helpful and polite. I literally ate too much but it was so good. I love the atmosphere and the decorations. It feels cozy and I intimate to dine here. Loved it. I will definitely return to this location in SC.

Started off a bit shaky. We were seated and no one was helping us. Pearl was able to come to our rescue. There seemed to be a bit of confusion about who had our table. They did a fantastic job with an excellent recovery. The food is really good. Decor was fine and they surprise me with my first birthday cake for my week of birthday celebrations. Thank you Angus!!!

Pleasantly surprised with the food! Very good all around. The appetizers and entrees were both great! No room for any desserts! More that adequate portion sizes! Service from Julisa was wonderful! The decor here is super fun and wacky.

Food was great!! Didn’t want a seafood buffet. Had the crab leg dinner with 2 sides, broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes were flavorful for around 32.00. Crab legs a little tough to Crack but meaty for snow crab legs. Husband had surf and turf with sirloin and fried shrimp that was seasoned well, added on lobster tail. TJ our waiter was very attentive and knew the menu well, made great suggestions, very good service. Great drinks as well.

My son was hungry for steak and I wanted some seafood. This steakhouse was the perfect middle ground. It’s a typical steakhouse after that and aside from the decor, you will get steak and seafood. There was three adults and I had one specialty drink and it cost $119 if you are wondering approx cost.

Ugh. The inside of the restaurant is well styled and has a bunch of decorations, which kinda made me feel like the food will be good. But it wasn’t the case, I have no clue why they ask how would we like the meat if the end up bringing it cooked the other way. All my party members ask for it to be medium, two ended up well done, other rarely cooked inside. I asked the waitress to bring something similar to strawberry mojito with the exception to be virgin (non alcoholic), and the best she could do is a strawberry slushy in a pineapple peel, not really what I asked for. Like you have a whole bunch of syrups and juices you use for all the other cocktails, just don’t add alcohol. The best part of my experience here were shrimps and the sauce they were served with, delicious. It was $160 for the dinner for 3, 1 bottle of wine&no desserts. I won’t be back.

Lovely spot with fantastic she crab soup. Probably my favorite of all time.
The chopped salad left a lot to be desired. The dressing didn’t have much of a flavor at all. If I ordered it again I would definitely get different dressing.
The jambalaya was pretty good. The seafood in it was delicious.
    Great service.

We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were seated immediately. Our server Timothy came over right away , explained both history of restaurant and the menu specials of the day. He then brought us complimentary hush puppies which were light and airy and delicious. Our drink order came out quickly and both drinks were prepared perfectly. Our appetizers and meals were all cooked to perfection and were extremely tasty. Everything about our dining experience at sea captains house was amazing. Will definitely be back and recommend to our friends.

We had a really nice dinner on a Sunday night! We ate outside on the patio and there was live music until 8PM. There is a beautiful view of the ocean. We didn’t have a reservation and waited out front for 45 minutes, which didn’t bother us. They have a bar on the patio and you can wait there or on the grassy area near the patio (and listen to the music). There was also the option to visit the bar inside or sit inside while you wait. There is plenty of parking across the street and they offer valet. My mom is vegetarian and it was nice to see the restaurant has a vegetarian/gluten free menu. Our server was outstanding! His name is Cedric and if you have the pleasure of having him, you will have a great time! We will try and request him when we return! We had the she crab soup which was very good, but ours didn’t have pieces of crab in it which would have made it better. The jambalaya and the vegetable stir fry were delicious. The shrimp and grits was good, but had a lot of cream sauce so if you like that, you are good to go! We truly loved it and we will be back!

Every Eater guide and Uber driver told us to eat at this generational spot so we stopped. The waiters and waitresses were fantastic with some of them being there almost a lifetime! There is two bars inside and one outside. We sat outside and it was perfect. I ordered the she crab soup and the crab cake entree. They were both fantastic. My friend doesn’t like seafood and got their chicken and he loved it. Easily the best food we have had since we have been in Myrtle Beach.

We highly recommend having dinner here! The Hostess staff was pleasant and organized! Our table was set so lovely and the view couldn’t be any better than the Atlantic Ocean! Our waiter was congenial and really knew the menu. He was keen to learn our likes and made wonderful suggestions so that our evening was the best it could be. From the delicate, creamy crab soup… beautifully arranged salads to each of our seafood entrees…no detail was missed! Make sure to order from the specialty drink menu…every ingredient fresh and such a creative mixing of flavors, these selections will please every palete! Prices align with the quality!!!
