I would rate this place 5 star ⭐️ instead if 4 if the parking spaces were assigned to units. Other than parking situation everything else was good about this resort. Going in we were skeptical especially after reading all the negative reviews but we found this place very welcoming and comfortable. Service was great 👍🏻 staff was polite and professional. Room was clean and updated everything worked no issues, we stayed at 2 bed unit it felt like home away from home.
This place has several Pools and pools are the best part of this resort we were out all day and in the evening just relaxing at the pools with couple of other families no big crowds or issues. We were only given 2 water park ticket and rest we had to pay for so we didn’t Visit park.
The market place, restaurant, gaming area and bowing was all fun and shuttle service was helpful. Overall a good wholesome family fun experience.
We did sign up for time share sales presentation we didn’t find any staff members pushy or unreasonable.
My only recommendation is if they can a assign parking space that will great.By M Sid (MJ) (7 months ago)We loved our stay! Lots of activities to do when you just want a relaxing day away from the parks. The food was pretty good at the on site restaurant. We enjoyed the pools and the water park. The room and all of the facilities were clean and well maintained. My only “complaint” and it’s so minor, is that we went to the pools with a pool bar twice during their supposed open hours and they were not open. We wanted to drink by the pool but were unable to. Again this is so minor and does not take away from how great our stay was!By Allie Bohr (5 months ago)Overall good experience. There was nothing in particularly bad about it but it wasn’t overly amazing either. The hotel room was very nice exactly as pictured could use a deep clean but wasn’t overly dirty. The property itself was very large and seem to have a lot of great amenities. Would recommend for anybody staying in the area for more than a couple days or with a family. Tons of activities to do on property as well as close to All sorts of different Orlando attractionsBy Tiffany W (4 months ago)Awful. Rooms were dirty. Service was non existent, and they didn’t even offer house keeping. We were NOT there on a time share rate so gladly didn’t have to go to a time share sales pitch. My guess is that they offer low rates to get families to try it out, but they have to suffer through a convincing sales pitch. Do yourself a favor and put away a few bucks a month and pay for your vacation to better places every year. Why lock yourself into any place (Monthly/Yearly fee) and an upfront fee (guessing at least $20K) for something you don’t own and can only sell at a loss, it doesn’t make sense.
Anyway, we tried to cancel our last night as it was pointless to stay at this dirty “resort,” but management was less than accommodating. Even our expedia rep couldn’t help get our money back for the last night. Guess it would have been better to book through a travel agent who could have at least steered us away from this place.
Don’t stay here. There are better hotels that are closer to Disney or Universal and are cheaper. (Sure the promo rates may be cheaper, but may have hidden costs and/or find yourself buying a timeshare you don’t need). We should have checked the reviews.
By Gersh F (2 months ago)This was a great resort to stay for a few days. It’s not far from Universal , local shops, stores are close by. They did have several pools on site, plus a water park which was dope.!!!! Rooms were very spacious, and the balcony was a decent size as well. The bathroom was amazing. Stand up shower and a jacuzzi for those special nights. I must say this was a good place to vacation.By Trome Simmons (3 months ago)

Amazing resort!
All of the staff are friendly and helpful, no matter the issue.
The grounds are amazing. The indoor atrium is a sight to see. They were setting up for the holidays and it is going to look great.
The pools and water park are a ton of fun.
I was a bit put off by the cost of parking ($30 per day), but seems to be the norm for the area.By Stephen Schillinger (3 months ago)I was blown away with the beauty of this resort! The hotel room was clean and comfortable. I adored the little shops and coffee bars located within walking distance of my room. The light show in the atrium was beautiful, also; I’m so glad I got a balcony room! Room service was quick and the food was good. My only complaint was on their website it says they recommend purchasing a seat by the pool…but literally all of them looked like they had to be reserved….so it’s not a recommendation, it’s a requirement. Overall, there was something for all of us to enjoy and I cannot wait to return! Oh, and reading the other reviews….I’d like to say that you don’t have to pay for parking if you’re staying overnight at the hotel, you simply scan your room key and it accepts it…I guess not everyone read the memo!By Sondra Valo (7 months ago)The Gaylord is always fabulous! Amazing vibes, gorgeous atrium, awesome pools, activities and events all day. They do a great job of blending adult aesthetics and fun to make them kid friendly here. We love the pool parties and lazy river. The restaurants and food are delicious! And no I won’t complain about the cost of the food or anything because we are here at a high end resort, the last thing I expected to do here was save money 😂 The rooms are generous in size, get an atrium room if you can, the balcony view of atrium is superb. The staff is kind and friendly. The 24 hour arcade is so fun and they have an awesome vending machine to get a prize with your tickets no matter the hours. My son and I love it here and are frequent visitors.By Sheena Daimler (7 months ago)We stayed here for a weekend getaway at Disney world. We had a nice stay here, it was clean, close to the theme parks, and had great valet services. My kids loved running their energy out in the atrium and they had a cool gift shop for them. The only reason I’m giving this hotel 4 stars is because the rooms were dated, and the food was not good at all.By Ashley Smith (a month ago)We were here 5 nights for a conference. We arrived late and not getting the room type we requested was frustrating. Front desk staff appeared a little put out. Outside of that, the staff was amazing – friendly, helpful; they kept thanking us for our stay. A little disappointed that we didn’t have a microwave in the room but I did see one at the bottom of the elevator. The atrium is gorgeous but it can be loud at night, depending on what’s going on. The atrium balconies are a lovely way to feel like you’re outside without the heat or humidity. Loved watching the turtles & alligators. Our conference included breakfast; both staff & food were awesome. Pet peeve: why do you change the bars of soap daily?? What a waste!!By Kelley Mccuen (5 months ago)

Honestly, one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in around the globe. Check-in was a little long and service was slow when we arrived but apart from that everything was incredible. We had the family suite for just the two of us but this was perfect. The room was cleaned everyday and the cleaning staff were super helpful in getting us towels or other bits.
Towels are provided by the pool which is a huge help.
The bar staff were great, prices for beer wasn’t anything we didn’t expect. The on-site catering facilities where great. We only ate here once but the food and service was fab. We ordered a lot of food in and collected in reception (massive plus to saving money).
The pool was lovely, always space and being within a 2 minutes/second walk to volcano bay was the best experience.
The hotel is also on the Universal Garden walk route so we didn’t have to get transport to the parks at all. It’s a 20 minute walk to city walk, and from her you go into either park so this was super ideal. The wall is also lovely so we enjoyed this freedom.
The resort had a lot of amenities and offered more value for my money than any other resort. Staff was awesome and helpful. Housekeeping was efficient. Only down side was food selection was not very exciting, and was actually very limiting compared to other resorts. It was edible, but not the reason I stayed there. Our family had so much fun enjoying bowling and pools. Convenience to the parks was great and on site transportation was fast. I plan on staying again.
The room was perfect for my family. Our view from our room was of the pool and was so pretty at night when it was all lite up. The beds were comfortable. We loved the large shower and the water pressure was good. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The pizza from the on site pizzeria was delicious but tiny. The TV did lag a bit and if you weren’t out of your room by 9am we didn’t recieve maid service and get fresh towels but those are my only complaints. Overall a very pleasant experience and we will stay here again.
Great staff, location, pools, eateries. Bus transportation to city walk & theme parks are great. Kids (11-14) loved lazy river, pool, and other pool with slide. Frozen adult beverages were great at the Hideaway Bar too. Kids and adults liked the various selections of food options within the hotel and all were sad to leave. Plenty of seating in eatery as well as pool area.
Had a maintenance issue in my room and they responded within minutes, fixed issue and were very personable. All of the staff were very helpful and courteous the entire stay. Also provided area to get tickets, passes, provided various directions – also responded immediately to text as well as calls.
Can’t say enough about how great our stay was! The staff was incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to help. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. It was great to have access to a microwave and fridge to cut down on food waste. The theme was amazing! All of the colors, textures, and 50s and 60s decor was incredible. Our kids had a blast at the arcade and if we stayed longer we would have loved to bowl! The shuttle came regularly and was convenient to the park. Better than our stay at Disney! Would highly recommend!
