  1. What a beautiful conservation area! The waterfall is pretty tiny but still nice to look at and lots of options for either easy gravel path for walking. Trails are easy to moderate. Saw a bunch of people canoe and kayaking, I’ll return to see the view from the water next time.

There is a park entrance fee to get in for the day. And they have capacity limits, but the town of Rockwood is cute to explore if you don’t get into the conservation.

  2. Family and pet friendly. Good for spending a day with family and friends with admission fee. You can enjoy canoe for a fee or bring your own floating boat. You can explore the area by canoe in less than an hour. It will be crowded over the weekend and holidays. If you want a good spot, arrive early. There is moderate trail you can walk in one hour as well.
Note: after review of my 2016 trip to Rockwood, I am changing to 4 star because the castle style building was closed in 2022. See the photos from 2016

  3. Fabulous spot amidst nature to experience a weekend getaway. Perfect place to relax with family and friends. Good for a picnic as it’s spacious with sufficient picnic tables. It’s got a beach area to swim around and boat rentals are also available. The parking lot is massive so you will never be out of space. The lookout shade has got clean washrooms. The staff and ranger officer David were amazing and helped us to host a birthday event under the shade. Would highly recommend this spot.

  4. First time been to this conversation area and found it very different and full of activities. Its kind all in one package where you can find average beach (nice for Kids) and for adults very spot for stand up paddle board, kayak or something. We saw nice camping spots also which obviously you hav to book before you come.
Very beautiful look out with 10 to 15 mins of trails to different things. Medium level hike
There is platform to launch your kayaks. Also you can rent canoe 🛶 to see the beautiful rocks in water closely.

Basically we had good time with very decent trail hike not very difficult. Nice Lookouts

  5. Awesome spot for kayaking! A literal playground for Kayakers! Friendly staff, easy to navigate park. There is a kayak launch dock near the Mill Ruins that is perfect. I would say it’s a great spot even for beginners as it’s a pretty easy paddle with lots of shore line you can reach if needed. There are quite a few rocks and stumps in places to be careful of, but can be seen if paying attention. Park near the beach is beautiful, amazing hiking trails and don’t forget to check out the caves!

It is a very beautiful place for a picnic and relaxing and daylong activities. Water is very clean and perfect for kayaking in summer. They also have some adventurous trail. Boating pricing is decent. You also need day pass per person while entering the conservation area.

This conservation area has a lot to offer year round. Of course really covid has interfered with its capacity and events being cancelled. The park is kept very clean. You can fish there as long as you have a legitimate license and the park is dog friendly but definitely requires a leash and the clean up after them. Stage can provide for a really great outdoor concert. The beaches are also clean.

Went camping for the first time to Guelph Lake Conservation and it was huge park. The camping site was large and had a fire pit and picnic table with trees for shade. There are good size beaches which do get busy on the weekends. Lots of hiking trails, childrens playground, boat launches, perfect lake for kayaking and fishing. The washrooms were ok but could be better. There is also a water dam to walk to and look at. Firewood was a good price and nice and dry.

Good conservation area. Huge beach area. Large lake which allows motor boats in some areas so large wakes when kayaking at some points. Beach gets busy fast most days in the summer so you should get there early. Beach is well groomed but tons of geese and seagulls so the beach can get covered in what they leave behind.

I love this place. I spent all day yesterday, just swimming and relaxing under big shadey trees. You can swim or just lazy around the lake. Lots of picnic tables and braaing stands, just bring your Charcoal. Take a walk around the trails and one leads to a beautiful lookout. A perfect place to bring your family, there’s something for everyone

Rustic charm.. very nice and clean.. haven’t been here in 20 years, so a nice change. A few shops but should have more foot traffic.

It is a shopping mall that is located Downtown. Parking is not free, unless you are okay with parking on the street and walking in, and being limited to a 2hour max.
This mall hosts a variety of medical offices as well as a hockey arena (the Sleeman Centre), community learning space, currently, one of the local artists’ guilds, a gaming store and gaming space, and a variety of other merchants (a bridal/formal wear boutique, a barber shop, a variety store, a dollar store, Rexall pharmacy, a Thai fusion eatery and a cafe for perhaps catching up with a friend, or grabbing a bite after a doctor’s appointment.) There are also ATMs on site as well.
Accessible entrance options and serviced by public transit

I like this little mall. It has personality. Some shops, cafes, and restaurants. Everybody is well maintained.
