  1. We toured the memorial botanical gardens that were stunning, especially for so late in the season (Sept). The area was fragrant, the plants & shrubs so pretty and the park trees and space was so peaceful. That was only a smaller area of the entire park so I hope to see more after COVID. I think some of it goes along the water & there’s a science Center that’s closed for now. Plenty of space to explore!!!

  2. Great park with lots to see and do. Park for kids, and a water park in the summer for them to keep cool. Amazing scenery during any season, and overlooking the river with many places to stop and admire it

  3. First impression of the park I had with my daughter in the winter and it is amazing. I am confident that in the spring this is top place to go with kids and enjoy wonderful views over the river.

  4. This is one of the most beautiful and versatile parks in the city. All the grass, trees, river views and picnic benches/tables make it a great place for a walk or picnic. There is a splash pad, playground, paved paths and stage so it’s also great to host events and gatherings. All in all a highlight of the city of Prince George any time of year!

Beautiful scenery and a close drive, bike ride, or walk from most parts of the city. Excellent trails, though as of mid-June 2022 some are flooded due to water levels in the Fraser or Nechako Rivers. Assortment of wildlife to be seen – mostly birds during my visit – and be sure to stop and appreciate the tree bark carvings along the trails.

Very peaceful, trails are an ease, greeted each time by squirrels, chickadees and I highly recommend to bring seeds for them! Always a nice stroll to have on those days when a break from everything is needed! Best time I found was at sunrise in mid summer….and the robins join in too!

Beautiful flowers and scenery. Trails need some love close to river Bank but love walking them

A beautiful park! Well maintained trails, that loop around. Some very nice bridges. Will be back!

A great park in town for a easy stroll to destress and connect with nature. Bring bird seed & let the chickadee’s eat from you hands or try and spot all the random carvings in the trunks of some of trees.

A park that truly surprised me – I did not expect to find such a nice park in PG! The landscaping was especially nice, like something you’d find in a botanical garden! I wish there were some unobstructed views of Downtown, as there were other good views to the south and west.

Interesting hill located right in downtown area. Could offer great views of city however tree-line is higher than view area so this is limiting. Area can also get a bit sketchy, especially given its proximity to other sketchy neighborhoods so advise caution, especially outside of daytime hours.

This place is a great place to overlook the city of Prince George. Picnic tables and benches are placed around the parameter for a 360° view of the town. This place is suited for adults more so than young children because there aren’t any play structures or water parks.

This is a very nice place 😍 good for picnics and games.

Beautiful setting to take in the view and have some food and drinks. Family friendly easy to access and very relaxing! Only recommendation is to bring hand sanitizer or I wish the city would add some dispensers in the out houses!
