A beautiful park with convenient access from Saint John and the surrounding area.
Several places to swim, and some visually pleasing landscaping and memorials round out your visit.
There’s a horse farm and botanical garden, but we didn’t visit them this trip.
Lots of hiking trails too! Come down and enjoy nature and fresh air.
By Daniel Paull (6 months ago)Absolutely beautiful park in the heart of St. John. Kind of reminded me Lord of the Rings forest, sometimes mysterious and dark, sometimes shining with light. The biggest highlight for me was the little bridge that gave opening to the side of the Long lake covered with yellow water lilies. Enjoy the peace, bring your family as well. Abide..By Ivan Nekrasov (7 months ago)This is a beautiful place to take a walk ! There are so many different trails with signs as well, and it’s very well maintained. You can take some trails that are all gravelled or paved or find an off road trail as there are a few of those as well. Highly recommend checking it out.By Natalie Cantle (9 months ago)Such a beautiful place to be. Lake with boating and swimming. Excellent hookups. Friendly knowledgeable staff Hiking and biking trails through this amazing park. The Lilly is an excellent restaurant in the park. Catch th # 20 Bus at top of hill going up from the campground to bring you into St John center. Downtown it’s great for easing and shippingBy Greg Speck (6 months ago)A nice park in the heart of the city. Great walking trails but you’ll need ice grips on your boots in the winter months.By Janice Harmon (11 months ago)

Nice historical spot to go sit as there’s is multiple beach/tables and eat a bite just make sure to not leave your meal unattended as the birds will take it 🤣. If your afraid of pigeons this is deffinetly not a place to go as there’s tons of them at this spot, often people will throw them food or nuts, etc.By Jeremie LeBlanc (a year ago)A nice little park in the middle of downtown. Plenty of places to sit, plenty of statues and a nice central fountain and gazebo piece. The park did have quite a few sketchy people during the daytime so I’m not sure what it’s like a night. I drove by it and the lighting looked very cool, but that’s all I could see. I nice place to sit and eat your lunch or just relax in the sun.By Andrew N. Byrne (2 years ago)It’s been a hub for Saint John for over a century. After the ‘Great Fire’ in 1877, displaced citizens stayed there in tents etc. They added a unique bandstand. Only 1 other exists somewhere in South America. It was restored about 6 years ago and still has live music in the summer. The statues are beautiful.By Human Condition (portcitypoet) (2 years ago)Great place to meet locals. Very lively place and centre point . All city major attractions are nearby to this place like city market , new Brunswick mall and all major office.
You can comfortably spend couple of hours if weather is favorable.By Rohit Pathak (3 years ago)Great place to relax in the city. Well maintained and clean. Minutes walk to downtown mall. Coffee shops around the corner. If you have a coffee time stand still in this historical but elegant park.By Sanjeewa A (3 years ago)

One of the oldest farmers market in Canada. Lots of history here. Love the architecture and interior space. However when I visited in October 2021, there were only a few vegetable vendors. Mostly vendors selling arts and crafts. I assume it is due to the pandemic, and business has been slower than usual and it is the end of the growing season.
Beautiful place to buy fresh local foods and products. You must visit the ‘Uncorked Tours’ bar! Bring your lunch and enjoy some greats local drinks!
This is one of the oldest city markets in Canada. I had the opportunity to visit there while on a cruise excursion. I could have spent most of the day there. It is a collage a vendors with various kinds of merchandise. There was some beautiful artwork and creative handmade crafts. I purchased some handmade items for Christmas gifts from a woman that traveled from Prince Edward Island. There is a friendly and inviting vibe in the market.
A nice small and neat place to buy some stuff. Sometimes crowdy but a must see while in Saint John, Canada
Fabulous. A historic market building AND a lively working market AND fresh coffee?!? I am in!! There was a good assortment of food and local and/or touristy items available. Being a cruise ship visitor I couldn’t buy any fresh food to take back with me but I certainly wanted to. I think my favorite thing was the dulse that they had for sale!!!
