  1. I had reservations at a motel around the corner and the accommodations were terrible. Decided not to stay there, drove around the corner to the Best Western and Emmanuel gave me the same price for a room that I found online. He even upgraded us to a VIP room with an amazing view. The room was beautiful, clean, fully stocked with everything we needed. The staff was amazing and helpful. Will definitely be going back and staying here when we are in the are again!

  2. Decided to try out Best Western Orlando Gateway for my two day trip to Orlando to visit Universal Studios. Arrived about 4 hours before check in, but decided to check with the front desk staff to see if by chance my room was ready. I was in luck and my room was in fact ready. The front desk staff were nice and courteous, and they were able to get my checked in very quickly.

As for the room, it was a very nice and spacious suite. The room could use a little touching up, but otherwise it’s a great room. On my way to the room, I interacted a bit with the housekeeping staff which were just as nice and courteous as the front desk staff. This Best Western certainly beats some of the other places I have stayed, even one of the BW Premier locations I tried during my short time in Florida.

  3. I’m uncertain how this hotel has a four star review… I suppose my experience could be out of the ordinary, but it’s hard to believe we’re the only ones to have an unpleasant stay. I booked this hotel because of its score, price and location. The one and only thing it has going for it is it’s location. It is very close to Universal Studios. Unfortunately, for us, that is the only thing we liked about the hotel. We found our room to be pretty run down. The toilet ran and the shower leaked all day and night. The sink was crack, as was the threshold passing into the bathroom. The water temperature fluctuated pretty dramatically while showering. The walls are paper thin and we could easily hear the neighbors next to us as well as the kids running around above us. We heard doors slamming all day and night. This made it difficult to get a decent nights rest, which is all we really wanted from the hotel. Room service didn’t actually refresh the room each day. They only grabbed the old towels and left a new stack on the counter.

  4. Front desk people are amazing. Evert staff member had a smile & hello.
Pool is awesome. Good weight room.
Our room is outstanding. Super clean.
You can’t beat the price anywhere. Safe area, close to everything. Great place to get away to enjoy yourself.
    I’m just saying…

  5. Nice employees, great service, the hotel was neat, the room clean & comfortable. Pool was a good temperature. Fitness room is a good size. I didn’t try out the restaurant but the food looked tasty. I had to take 1 star away because the shower had to run for 5 minutes before every shower before it would get warm. I’m not sure if that was just our room or all of thr rooms. Other than that everything was great!

I don’t really understand where the negative reviews are coming from. This is an excellent stay where you get your money’s worth.

Firstly, even though check in was at 16, our room was ready when we arrived at 10 and was made available to us free of charge. The receptionist was very polite, and the whole process of checking in and out was a breeze. Everyone I met from the staff was polite and accommodating.

Sure – the hotel isn’t the most luxurious – but the location is excellent, it is safe, the rooms are clean, and the price is very fair. We especially liked the beds that weren’t too soft. The pool area is good, though it can get a bit crowded. The beach access is also very convenient.

If I were to visit Miami Beach I would stay again.

I had a penthouse suite when I arrived on a Friday night and there was one small problem I couldn’t find the TV remote. It didn’t really matter because I was tired and wanted to go to sleep so in the morning I went to the front desk when the manager was there. I told her I did not have a remote to the TV and I wasn’t too thrilled about that. So she gave me a room 316 with a view of the ocean and the pool and this room was beautiful! Because of the hurricane on the west coast I had to stay at this lovely hotel and most of the days were beautiful. It’s right on the beach there’s a walking path that goes for miles along the ocean where everybody bike rides or walks. But I’ve never been in a better hotel in the United States that was so beautiful. The beds are soft and very comfortable. The staff at the front desk if you had a problem they would take care of it right away. And they would always do it with a smile. I went to the restaurant one night because I was hungry and oh my God was I surprised. The food in this restaurant is outstanding. The cooks take pride in what they make and the service was first class. So after my first night there and eating I pretty much went there every other night for dinner. I don’t understand the negative reviews about this place because I had no problem whatsoever.

The staff was wonderful about holding onto luggage while waiting for check in and waiting for the flight. Check in was fast and easy however
    1) My room wouldn’t get any cooler than 75 and it was not comfortable to sleep in
    2) Their pool table had no chalk and was missing two balls. When asked if they had replacements they did not
    3) Their website states that they have beach towels and chairs, yet during my stay they were locked up and unable to use
    4) The bar hours vary and are odd and short
    5) It says they charge for room service each day so I chose to only have it cleaned when I left, yet each day they would knock for room service and I would be asleep

Stayed here for 5 days last week and had a great time!
Staff were incredibly helpful, we got stuck in the flood the first day of arrival. We were lucky and were able to check in early.
In the morning due to all the rainfall we had a leaking roof in the bathroom, I informed the manager at the front desk and she had maintenance come check out the issue within five minutes. The manager moved us to another room on the 7th floor and helped us out with parking. The hotel was clean and housekeeping was also very helpful if I needed extra supplies throughout my stay.
The beach was gorgeous and a one minute walk from the hotel.
The gym was clean, had the basic work out machinery and free weights.
The only negative thing I could say about the hotel is the noise pollution when trying to sleep at night. The windows aren’t the best quality so we could hear all the noise from the street level and drunk guests making their way back to their rooms late at night. Aside from that the staff were lovely and I would suggest this hotel. It’s right on brand for a best western/4 star hotel

Why was it poor where can I begin….booked this hotel for a week with a ocean front room and looked very forward to it but when I got here after a long day of traveling I thought it was okay until I went to my room. Very dusty room smells very bad and fridge doesn’t even work properly. Not to mention there’s no microwave what so ever even though I stayed for a week. Even the cheapest MOTELS have microwaves how sad is that. Bathtub water doesn’t come out properly neither does the sink water. Only have 25 spots for parking in a very tight lot that would only fit compact vehicles. I can keep going. I asked to change rooms but I already paid for my ocean front room and they told me they’re not sure when another room would be available. Overall it was a horrible experience in this hotel. Get a better hotel nearby and don’t be me stuck here for a week smh

For cocoa Beach pier location you can’t get any better. Service was great! Room great! Breakfast awesome and fresh! Girls at front desk are the best! Sam, one of the girls name I had interactions today June 12, but others at front desk when I stayed May 22-23 are what service is all about.

My wife and I stayed for our anniversary(May 22) and we weren’t impressed initially, but after calling down and asking about changing rooms, they did so just like that. No problems and they were genuinely sorry for my concerns! You guys know customer service and satisfaction! I requested a higher room with ocean view, and they gave me top balcony with an upgrade. Breakfast was awesome! Talk about a spread… Eggs, toast sausage, pancakes, french toast, fruit, oatmeal, hot syrup, fresh juices etc…
Don’t look elsewhere for stay at Cocoa Beach trust me!

Stayed here day before the cruise. We got here early, and we were able to get into room early. The staff we interacted with were so friendly. Front desk, and breakfast counter. We were so close to the beach and pier, loved that. The pools looked nice, but just went swimming in the ocean. Very reasonable price shuttle to cruise port. The breakfast was very good, and the warm homemade banana bread was delicious! Also room was clean! Will definitely stay here again if back in this area.

Nice place. Our room was ocean view and nice. A bit pricey, I travel a bunch, but the time there was nice.
Free breakfast, was pretty good and a nice setup.
The pool is very nice. Could use more lounge chairs for sure. Bar on pool deck with a decent food menu.
Second day there and no towels at pool on this day. Everyone there had to go buy one from local store…
As far as location, beach right there, a gas station directly across the street. Ale house a 3 min walk. And a couple stores right there walkable. Publix also like 2 minutes away.

This hotel is within walking distance of Cocoa Beach. The first room we had the pull out sofa bed would not come out it was broke. This room was on the top floor so we had an excellent view of the beach. We had to change rooms, but only one floor down so we still had a decent view of the beach. The breakfast was really good. They had several different options. I would definitely stay here again if I was to go to Florida and wanted to stay near the beach.

First off, as far as location, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better spot. It’s right near the pier and only about 200 yards walk straight to the beach.

With that said, we stayed there this weekend and were super let down and left feeling a bit duped. The photos that show up when searching on Google are very carefully chosen compared to what the place actually looks like. The hotel is made up of a lot of different buildings that seem to be dramatically different in age and quality. Most of the positive reviews here seem to come from people in the better sections.

I was in the “B” building. To enter the room you have to turn the knob and literally ram the door open like a football player because I assume the door was painted shut at some point. Exiting the room was twice as hard because you don’t have the leverage to smash the door in, you just had to yank it over and over until it gave. The carpet is perpetually damp, dark and old, leaving dirty bottoms on your socks. One part of the carpet was sticky. The ceiling above the shower had mildew stains and the places smelled like something chemical. I’m hoping it was disinfectant and not bug spray. The walls and ceiling are paper thin which lead to a miserable time considering the people above us must have been practicing for the Cirque Du Soleil until midnight.

I understand it’s right near the beach but the reviews and photos made this place seem like a place that is worth the price point, but it wasn’t. If you do stay here, see if you can get in one of the younger or better taken care of buildings.

running, called the front desk, and the handyman arrived within 10 minutes! (Turns out it is normal for the toilet to take a long time to refill the tank) The rooms aren’t fancy but bed was comfy for sleeping. Happy to have scrambled eggs, sausage links, Mickey waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, yummy pastries, and toast for breakfast options. Good location. Pool was never busy. Daily room cleaning offered. Only downfall was that I wish the shuttle service had more options for times/locations. Luckily we had a rental car so we battled the traffic ourselves. Overall, I would recommend and would stay here again.

Rooms were fine. Low budget, but clean. It’s a motel more than a hotel. Things that should be up to modern standards just aren’t; i.e. key cards can be deactivated by close proximity to a phone. I haven’t had an issue like that in years. Breakfast was standard, but not worth the stay.

Biggest issue is the promised shuttle service, which is the draw of the hotel I’d imagine. You’re told that there is a shuttle service to Disney. What they mean to say is that there is a once-a-day shuttle to Epcot at 10:10, that stops at a number of other hotels on the way, and departs Epcot at 6pm. Expect an hour trip each way for what would otherwise be a 14 minute drive.

It’s also just a repainted school bus.

I’m sure the owner or manager will respond and say that they’re happy to receive the feedback so they can improve, but if I had looked at the reviews I would’ve seen other people experiencing similar issues in the past. That is to say, they don’t seem to be doing anything to improve.

Chose this place because it’s in a wonderful location and they provide a shuttle to the parks. They only provide transportation to Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios, and Sea World so if you’re visiting any other Disney park, you’re going to have to do some bus hopping. The shuttle busses also leave pretty late, like 10:00 AM and return relatively early, around 6:00 PM meaning that shortens your time at the parks. They also don’t tell you that the shuttle bus makes stops at other locations, meaning that you probably won’t arrive to your intended location until 45 minutes-1 hour later. Breakfast is provided and they provide a nice selection of food. Was disappointed that they didn’t have water in the lobby for guests, but they do have bottled water you can purchase at the front. I payed for late checkout in advance but they never communicated what time late checkout would be. I had to call the front four times before I finally walked down to inquire about my checkout time. They told me that checkout was at 11- the normal checkout time. I explained that I had paid for a late checkout and they didn’t know what I was talking about. They settled and said the latest I could checkout was 12. As my husband and I were relaxing in my room, housekeeping used their key to let themselves into our room at 9:00 AM, without knocking and unannounced. We have never had this happen at any other place that we’ve stayed at and it left an awful impression. Not to mention that the walls are paper thin and most of our sheets and towels were stained. Will not be returning to this location.

We needed an affordable, convenient location, close to Universal Studios. They had a clerk available to answer all our questions at 11 o’clock at night, and the breakfast was surprisingly quite a spread. We were on the corner across from a busy bar, but the music was faint and didn’t interrupt our sleep. The rooms are dated, but the beds were clean, comfy and free of bugs and the bathroom was scrubbed. We weren’t looking for much more than that so I would recommend this place if you just need a place to sleep!

This is my go-to hotel when I’m in Orlando! The rooms, pool and staff are great. Whether it’s Universal, SeaWorld or the Florida Classic it’s very convenient. The strip it’s off of is great. Plenty of restaurants, stores and other travel venues makes it easy to visit without driving.

This hotel got new floors and a new coat of paint to try to cover over what seems to be an old hotel that was foreclosed or condemned.

We had to change from the first room because of mold that was overwhelming as soon as we walked in. The second room was only slightly better. Rust on fixtures, Toilet was clogged, old sagging beds.

Everywhere you can see signs of decay that were just covered over and swept under the rug in the cheapest way possible. When the toilet wouldn’t flush they were so accustomed to the situation that they immediately knew to tell us that you have to hold the handle on the toilet for a full 15 seconds to not back up.

Breakfast is makeshift with bread, ham, and egg patties. There is very little seating in the cluttered indoor area, so we had to eat outside in the cold by the pool.

The only decent point was the staff. They did have staff sitting around smoking at picnic tables that we had to repeatedly walk past but for the most part the staff were responsive and just trying to deal with all the issues.

We stayed here because of the location which is very close to Universal and because it looked good online. The pictures are very deceiving and we are pretty sure that a large number of the reviews must be fake.

We stayed here for our vacation, for the price point, location, and amenities it was perfect for my family. The staff is bilingual and very accommodating! Aaron thank you so much for the service you provided me and my family during our stay!
we loved the Pool, Park, and Splash Pad!
One thing i noticed is the hotel may be a bit understaffed, but the rooms were clean, comfortable and functioning, and its close by to everything! Plus a vegetarian friendly breakfast! I would stay here again!

The front desk staff seemed very nice. The pool area looks clean and fun and the pathways to walk around have beautiful flowers and other plants that make this little hotel look amazing. The room is a little small but has a mini fridge and microwave. For the price I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed 7 nights here this past week. Was very happy. Great customer service at front desk and the bar. We cracked our door one night and security came by to check to make sure everything was OK. When we needed something front desk was able to provide. Room was cleaned and room service was excellent.

Not a bad place for a quick overnight but longer would not recommend. Room were clean to a point but very musty moldy old smelling. Even sheets and blankets didn’t smell fresh. Quite hotel breakfast was ok eggs sausage toast cereal coffee juice. Not bad could have been done better. I think if more than one night I would have been really sick had a headache from it.there fix spray air freshener quick fix
