Stayed here for a few nights. The beds were super comfortable I liked them! The room was not as clean as it could have been. The floor was a bit sticky and it had a damp smell.
Breakfast was great! Lots of food choices and good coffee!
The staff were very nice as well.
By Joel Martin (a month ago)The rooms were nice and clean. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite. It was nice just wish the tub was bigger. We stayed in another hotel that had bigger jacuzzi tubs, but they weren’t as clean as Best Western is. Other than that everything was fine. The beds are very nice and comfortable.By Nicole Parker (a week ago)Room by doors entering hall are very noisy with it slamming all the time. Thankfully was able to move down the hall. Otherwise would have given 5 stars. Great hot breakfast, bed are comfortable. Tons of shopping and restaurants within a mile.By Megan Lampert (4 months ago)Staff friendly and accommodating. Room very clean.Breakfast area very clean. Nice varied breakfast with helpful attendant. Pool down for maintenance at this writing. Very convenient to I-70.By Aunty Wolfy (2 months ago)How do I begin? Pool wasn’t even filtered (water was completely still, means it wasn’t circulating), part of the halls smelled horrible, bathroom wasn’t very clean, as was the actual room. Exercise room was very small (though it was a small hotel so I guess it’s expected, but one treadmill, a bike that was broken and couldn’t be adjusted, some dumbbells, and an elliptical? Seriously?) For some reason there were a couple small kids (three at most) walking around the building… When staff were there, they were relatively friendly. Breakfast area was pretty nice, breakfast was standard.By Pauline A (3 years ago)

best price ($100/night for 2 double beds), for a safe clean family place. It was nice clean overall and not too dated with nice bright decor – lovely photos of the area framed all over. Front desk was cheerful and quick. It was on the outskirts – but not a problem if you have a car or renting.
The bad? When we got there, beds were done but sheets were clearly not fresh. Free hot breakfast was underwhelming (pancakes, eggs, sausage, bread, cereal, that’s it). The one elevator seemed to be also the service elevator… not a big deal but some might find it annoying to ALWAYS share with big wheeled crates (By service staff). Next time, we’ll try the Humidity inn nearby for almost the same price.By Sachin M (3 months ago)Location is great, right by so many things. The service was AMAZING. My teen gets bouts of anxiety inspired insomnia and couldn’t stay in the room over night. The staff were so accommodating to him and his needs. Kept an extra eye on him and made him feel comfortable. The pool/work out room leave a little to be desired but my kids liked it. Breakfast was only okay but honestly it was food and it was hot. Everything was very clean. As someone who used to be a house keeper in a hotel I know the things I’m looking to be clean and it was great. Only things I really have to “complain” about isn’t really a them thing but a ME thing. The beds were a bit small for me. I’m used to a bigger bed but that by no means is there fault. Over all when we return to the area we will most likely be staying again. Thank you.By momma.m.87 (5 months ago)The rooms were spacious and were recently remodel. The night clerk was courteous and polite. The breakfast was warm with choices of pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereal, and oatmeal. It was a good value for the money. I would stay there again. I didn’t check out the pool or weight room.By Mark Wendling (3 months ago)When we walked in room 309, we were concerned that the beds would be uncomfortable because they were both sloped downward toward the headboard. Fortunately, the beds didn’t cause an issue too much. Our room wasn’t clean. This included the toilet, floor, and bed. Because the hotel was full, we couldn’t switch rooms, which is understandable. I did request for our room to be clean, but that never happened. The lights in the bathroom kept cutting on and off. I was happy to leave.By Patricia Gulzar (3 months ago)The pros:The location is close to Cedar Point and a lot of restaurants and other places to shop if need be. The staff at check in was very nice and polite. The indoor pool is convenient since it isn’t outdoors and can be used even in inclement weather. They also offer a free breakfast in the morning.
The cons:
The rooms were not vacuumed, or wiped down when we checked in at 4. The iron in the room was broken so we were unable to adjust it. The wifi was intermittent so our PlayStation kept disconnecting. The pool is very small and only 3 feet deep. Two of the machines in the gym were defective. The breakfast in the morning was mostly unappetizing – the pastries tasted stale and the sausage tasted freezer burned and were undercooked.
When we decide to go to Cedar Point again, we will be staying elsewhere. Even with the extremely friendly and nice lady who helped us at check-in, it still wasn’t enough to offset the many issues that presented themselves.

Well managed facility. Pleasant caring desk management. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately, the heater was not working in the pool so the temperature was too cold to use and some of the equipment in the exercise room was broken.
We were told that we could use the pool and what to expect and that repairs were being made. Overall a pleasant stay for a moderately priced accommodation off the turnpike.By Barb Paulin (3 months ago)The room was clean. The staff were less then friendly, when we checked in. But the morning crew were more pleasant. The pools heater was/is and forever will be out. So the pool is very very cold. The morning breakfast was ok at best. The automatic pancake maker was neat to watch, but the pancakes weren’t very good. If I am back in this area I won’t be staying here.By Rocky Rhodes (3 months ago)This hotel was the better of all the hotels in the general vicinity googled for reviews. It was close to the expressway or Turnpike, gas stations, and restaurants. The staff that I encountered was pleasant and the breakfast offered was basic. The decor, besides main entry, is outdated. Some areas does have a peculiar smell. My room had a cigar smell I thought. Hallway carpet is quite stained, I just wore my shoes while in my room. It was the only hotel that DIDN’T have a bedbug issue so that’s why I stayed. I’d take stains over bugs any day.By T Leutz (3 months ago)Lots of small shops around Elyria, but the town is quite run down. The hotel seems decently clean, with some exceptions. The halls and elevators smell of weed, the floor is rippling up, and the toilet, even though it says it was sanitized, has hair on it. We stopped here after driving from Syracuse, NY to go to Cedar Point. It served its purpose for us.By Bill Robinson (4 months ago)Quaint little hotel in an easily accessible place. Only wierd thing was door to room was open when we checked in – clearly because it was just cleaned. But there were no towels in the room. To their credit the staff came running with replacements.Side benefit is the gas/ petrol station across the street had the cheapest price across the state going east to west.

We had to be moved from our first room after the door wouldn’t open. Got into the new room to find it was not adequately clean–there was still toilet paper in the toilet, leading us to believe it had not been cleaned. (The desk clerk came in and cleaned it.) The room wasn’t otherwise visibly dirty, though it was outdated. The bed was pretty comfortable (even if the pillows weren’t). The pool area obviously hadn’t been swept in a long time. The breakfast was not good–flavorless reconstituted eggs and sausage gravy.
However, the staff was 100% awesome. Every employee we had interactions with was super friendly and helpful.By Will Witters (2 months ago)The room was decent for the price. The staff is hit or miss but I’ll tell ya, there’s an absolutely delightful blonde woman that works the breakfast (weekend) that made me a waffle because she saw me staring at the waffle maker trying to figure it out. She also came by a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. Best part of the trip. Actually, we really enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub while watching a movie part too!By Rj (3 months ago)We stayed for about a month for business. The front desk people were mostly friendly. We did have one of the front desk ladies come up to our room and said she was maid service she asked if we needed towels. And was looking in our room. She never returned with our fresh towels which was odd. And the maid won’t clean the room we asked her for fresh towels an she made it seem like a big deal that she gave us fresh towels, we had to go downstairs and ask the front desk. Other than that our stay was nice. The hotel was quite, breakfast was ok an the lady who ran it was very friendly. And the pool was nice an warm! We will come back.By Sarah Johnson (6 months ago)I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were decent and the bed was firm. The front desk was very accommodating. Quick to bring us more pillows. The breakfast buffet was great. The staff was very friendly. Small pool. The showers could have been better. Overall I would recommend this hotel.By James Gemelas (6 months ago)We came from saint Louis to stay at this hotel because the pictures online made it look nice. We quickly found out that was NOT the case. The girl at the front desk was the only positive experience because she was helpful, apologetic and quick to attempt to fix a problem that was clearly not her fault but the managements. After checking in we went to go into our room (check in earliest time is 3…. It was 5) and housekeeping was STILL cleaning our rooms. We waited to see if the house keepers would say anything because they saw us but they hid and looked to be on drugs. Our room SMELLED like mold… and found it on the ceiling. Room was dirty and pictures attached show mold, hair in sink, no towels, and what looks to be a body print on headboard. We asked to be moved and they put us in a new “remodeled room” that also had mold. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I later heard from a local that apparently a meth lab was in the building and that is when mold started? That place was disgusting DO NOT GOBy Miss Lovely (3 months ago)

I booked this hotel online because i was looking for rooms with a jacuzzi and out of the ones I looked at in Columbus this one looked the coolest and decently priced. When I arrived I immediately knew it wouldn’t be good. The parking lot was a mess and not many cars. I got the keys and went to the room. There was stains all over the carpet and what looked like dirt. We looked at the sheets there was stains all over them as well. I went to look at the Jacuzzi and it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned. Pictures of it showed mirrors around it and the walls in the room looked like they have been ripped off the wall. I decided to book a hotel across the street last minute. The next day I went to best Western to return the keys and to let them know about the situation the lady working in the morning was super nice i told her the situation and she went to check the room per policy. She came back down stairs and apologized for the room it had already been clean before she got up there. So it wasn’t all there but she said even with it just being cleaned it wasn’t up to her standards. She was very understanding and thankful to know the cleaning staff wasn’t up to par
The front desk folks & breakfast workers are amazing! So friendly & helpful. Shout out to Ms. Crystal, she went above and beyond each morning we were there and really made us feel great. The room was clean, although previous guests must have smoked as there was a ‘cover up’ scent. The in-room whirlpool worked well, the bed was comfortable, but we did have to ask for extra pillows (why only 3 small ones for two adults?). The pool is right off the lobby and the fitness area is just down the hall; both are maintained but bring your own water bottle to the fitness center, towels are provided in the pool area.
A full breakfast was served and it alternates everyday. Everything was fresh and tasty. It’s served from 6a-10a.
The front desk staff including the Manager whose name is Roger are EXCELLENT. Very nice and helpful and will do whatever they can to make you comfortable during your stay. The housekeeping department has some hard working people with great attitudes who goes above and beyond with a smile. Breakfast is nice, eggs, 2 different types of waffle maker, 2 different breakfast meats, oatmeal, bagels, etc. Fresh coffee all day. The pool was dirty with an almost thick milky cloudy appearance to the water. Clumps of hair floating on top. I think its because its the end of the season and they know it will close soon anyway? As much as I love to swim I wouldn’t dare take one step into it! YIKES! Parking lot is clean and not too sketchy but the hotel is 100% non smoking so people sit in their cars to smoke when it’s late.
I had a decent experience at the Best Western. The Managers and the staff were very attentive to my needs whenever appropriate. They had complimentary breakfast which was a plus, and they had amazing shuttle service to and from the airport. The only downside I would say is that they don’t do room service cleaning unless you ask them. Other than that it was clean and a pleasant experience.
I don’t really have too many expectations for hotels as I really just look for a clean room and a safe experience. The port Columbus delivered that and the front desk at night was helpful with my requests. The room is nothing fancy and does seem a bit old but it’s good enough to rest in and that’s all that matters. Breakfast was simple and had decent variety, but the eggs were a bit bland and tasted of cardboard. It’s included so you can’t really complain I guess. My stay over the night was good but around 3AM, someone was blasting loud music in their car in the parking lot which was annoying. Another problem is that the tub was not draining the water, but I was only staying one night so it wasn’t too much of an issue for me. Some other minor things I would say is that the shower head does not output much water and seems kind of beat up. I would suggest replacing it with a newer and nicer model. There were also stains in one of the chairs inside which might be off-putting to some guests. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would probably stay again if I wanted something cheap. If you’re looking for something more luxurious, then you’re looking at the wrong hotel chain.
