While this is a lovely place to visit. If I understand correctly the water was low, water in the beach was small, kept getting stranded with pedal boats… But the big downer was no place to have a shower
Very hot day and ice-cream place was closed by playground…. Main cafe ran out of ice-cream early too… Not much in shop…But very fairly priced family place. Great fun for kids.
The inflatable adventure course was great fun, but very crowded you have to wait around more to do the main bits than you would expect. Maybe if you had less time but would have less people on it it would be better….By Beka Oldroyd (4 months ago)There are endless things to do at Cotswold Country Park but it could get pricey if you’re a family.
We had pre-booked entry and the inflatables and arrived before 10am to get a spot by the beach. (Next time I would not sit there because it gets so packed). Overall a relaxed vibe though.
Really loved the inflatables and the lake did not feel at all cold; no wetsuit needed.
I walked around the lake (that has the beach) and went bird watching near the gravel pits, which was wonderful. Wild flowers everywhere… It would have been even better with a bird guide / tour.By Charlotte Beauvoisin (Diary of a Muzungu) (4 months ago)Dropped in on a random day off so was nice and quiet. Lovely place for the family with a 7 month year old and 6 year old.Lots to see and do, nice play area, beach and walks. No water sports open but was still a lovely place to have an ice cream.
Entry a little steep at £12 but overall everyone was happy.
By Tom Bell (6 months ago)Fabulous place to have a good and fairly safe splash and swim and also there’s usually circus show during summer for entertainment and it’s very good.
For additional fee you can hire equipment for water activities or do obstacle course in water (aquaventure?).
Plenty to do on quite small area.By Iza Przado (3 months ago)Brilliant couple of hours spent here today. Parking available on site or another parking area just round the corner.
We came to have a go on the Aquaventure Inflatable course, 3 adults and 3 children.
Wetsuits are available to hire for the hour (short £7.50 and long £8.50).
You get an hour on the inflatable after being given an introduction and rules of Safety by a member of staff.
Plenty of lifeguards situated around the course so any questions or help needed, go to them.
Food and drinks available on site although a temporary menu at the moment – Burgers, Hotdogs, Chips and ice creams.
Very fairly priced and staff were absolutely fab. Will be looking to go back soon as there are other activities available such as Paddle boarding, SUP and Pedalos for hireBy Naomi Milward (4 months ago)

We have rented one of the lodges for a week’s holiday. The accommodation is excellent, spacious and scrupulously clean. We also have our little dog with us, who was welcomed to stay with us in the accommodation – a big plus point for us! The enclosed decking area is also very helpful for the dog. Lovely hot tub, but a step for easier entry and exit would have been good.
The lake and surroundings are beautiful, though the lake and parts of the site open to day visitors can get very busy on warm days. Hire of water sports equipment is a little pricey, though. A concession for guests staying on site would be a nice extra touch.By Kerry Warwick (4 months ago)Stayed Jul22 camping in the Meadow with no electric hook up. The facilities for a vast field with large number of campers comprised of 1 small trailer unit with 2 urinals & 1 cubicle. The light was out in the cubicle the entire time of our stay meaning it was pitch black in there.Very little evidence of any routine cleaning as the toilets were beyond disgusting. Big spiders webs & just generally dirty.
The adjoining caravan pitches had a small toilet & shower block. grossly inadequate for the numbers of people. There were 2 male showers & 1 unisex shower which covered all the caravan & the Meadow camping pitches. Again these were filthy dirty every time we used them. The lake facility is great & watersports on offer is good. The bar & facilities near the lake is better albeit a very long walk from the Meadow.
There is limited free space around the lake so it’s cramped and squashed.
Vehicle access within the site is single lane & chaotic. Often got locked up with two way flow
In summary good for a day visitor or if you’re bringing your own toilet and shower facilities.
By Chris Young (4 months ago)We booked for two nights, only stayed for one. If we could of safely towed our caravan away in the middle of the night we would have.We were really disappointed as site is only 30 minutes from us. We love water sports, the facilities are great & staff we did meet were lovely.
This is not a family friendly site. No one follows the site rules. We had footballs kicked at our caravan, kids running around flashing torches in, in the early ours. It was noisy, loud music and shouting gone 1am.
Someone knocked on our caravan at 6am & hurrled abuse. We were fast asleep! I felt unsafe & Intimidated!
I left first thing – husband & son stayed to enjoy the water until lunch time as didn’t want to completely spoil it for our son.
But my son, despite how resilient children are couldn’t wait to leave!
We tour most weekends, this is the worst experience we have ever had. I wouldn’t recommend it & I would never go back.
By Emily Cooke (4 months ago)Great place. Prices are sneaking up as all UK holiday sites but this place offer a great experience for the kids canoeing, paddle board….
Second visit . Will book next year again.you can camp, caravan… Hut, cabin… all are on offer.By Naj Kan (3 months ago)Stayed at Croft farm for a weekend and was extremely impressed with the site. Staff are very friendly and willing to help the shower blocks are clean and have regular cleaning schedules. There is food and entertainment on site and it is welcoming to pets too will definitely go againBy Jennie Wheeler (4 months ago)

Albeit this campsite is very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I feel that as this is a part of the ‘tranquil parks’ group it was far from tranquil!
Noise from the surrounding roads, major roundabout and flight path to nearby airport.
As with all pitches being all weather pitches it lacks green space. Which takes it further away from the tranquil park feel.
Our particular pitch was shorter than most as the chemical toilet point was directly behind us and was beside the path which lead to the toilet block. With a regular flow of pedestrians. (Pitch 70).
However we did enjoy our stay we would most likely stay elsewhere should we visit the area again.
We chose this site to stay at as every other ‘tranquil park’ we have been to has been excellent.By Andy corkill (2 months ago)Very warm welcome. Very clean site, Clean pitch which is well laid out with hard standing. Very slightly sloping, but only needed to go up to the second stage of the wheel ramps to level. Bit of road noise from main road and a very little amount of noise from the M5 but nothing that will spoil the stay. Very easy to find and has good bus routes to both Cheltenham and Gloucester. Would be a good overnight stop for a west coast run.By Secure John (5 months ago)Lovely site, grounds are clean and facilities are great. Some noise from nearby road that might be an issue if your a light sleeper in a tent but during the day not noticeable at all. Nice views of small aircraft landing nearby aswell.Site has lots of nice touches like beehives and fruit trees dotted around. Makes for a nice vibe
By Oli Mckeown (4 months ago)Excellent dog friendly campsite between Cheltenham and Gloucester. Nice sized pitches and immaculately clean facilities. I would definitely stay again if passing through the area.By Lian Streather (3 months ago)Lovely campsite , we’re a bit worried about aircraft coming in but stopped about 5 pm and had a lovely quiet evening. Convenient bus just outside gate to go to Gloucester or Cheltenham. Will be back again .By Rich Cornick (4 months ago)

Was very quiet here, that’s a positive. You can sit by the mud. Just nothing really else there! There’s one cafe and one shop, that’s it. Lots of rocks to climb on if that takes your fancy. My daughter enjoyed throwing stones in the vast amounts of mud.By Liv Kupai (3 months ago)Both rockey and sandy. Good for have a walk and view sunset. What a beautiful cathedral! Went there for some short sightseeing after a full day of work meetings in Gloucester and was not disappointed! The cloisters are dreamy, as well as the main body of the cathedral. Stained glass is impressive, and the architectural details too! Fully recommended for a Harry Potter-themed visit!
Absolutely stunning place not to be missed if your in the area. 5.30pm every evening the choir sings even song its like attending a royal wedding the sound the small choir makes ….incredible!!!!!!!! The cathedral is the best I have ever been too. And of course the parts where Harry potter was filmed a nice little treat too.
Perfection x
Wow, what a stunning cathedral. Beautiful stain glass windows and details to the building. We found some areas where Harry Potter was filmed too. They had some fun activities on the upper level which would be fun for adults and children. Well worth a visit.
Cathedral was beautiful and all staff we spoke to were friendly and informative. We were allowed to leave our pushchair with a staff member while accessing the Whispering Gallery and interactive pieces. Lots of things were clearly labelled with the history or back story. We didn’t take a tour as we were short of time but they were frequent and seemed really good so will do that next time.
Fantastic cathedral. Really enjoyed exploring the cathedral. Top to bottom. A couple of hours well spent. Free entry but donation given as it is really a tour stop visit. Well worth it if you like visiting churches or places of worship.
