  1. Definitely worth it. As this was introduction to theme park rides, I can say this park as an assortment of rides that will offer you value for your money. There are rides for families and children and older people to share together. Well they must offer value for money if they have been here for 125 years right??🤔😊 Enjoy!!!

  2. Crazy games. Many of the rides here are very old but the do the job. You will hear cracking noises all the time from the rides but they still work fine. I was terrified as I was riding most of them as it was my first time in the park.

I would go again with my friends. There are not many thematic activities or cartoon characters but there is an area for little kids.

There is Burger King and other places to get food/drinks from.

What really puts me off is that there was a lady who is a little on the bigger size and she couldn’t get on one of the rides. But I saw the same lady getting on other rides. So I guess there should be bigger seats to accommodate everyone. Also, few of the rides, you have to climb stairs which means if someone has a disability or on a wheel chair may not be able to get on them.😒

I am sure the park management could do a lot more to be more inclusive.

  3. First time at a theme park and the pleasure beach offered a truly great experience. All the rides were unique in their own way, and most (newer ones) were very thrilling and smooth.

Place was kept very clean and all the staff were nice and friendly.
Good value for the price – a set price and was able to go on any ride and amount of times. The app helped knowing the length of waiting times.
Plenty of food and drink at reasonable prices. Including some gift shops scattered around.

Overall, the pleasure beach was an amazing experience and I would certainly be going again.

  4. A true definition of fun, thrill and amusement. A gigantic ride on park that gets adrenaline pumping. Games, merry go rounds, super high speed roller coasters, boat cruise, tower lift, good meals, all sorts of fun games and rides.
The place is well situated, very neat and spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The ticket takes you in and you can use it for all the rides. Safety is paramount as little kids are subjected to height measurement before using certain rides.
A true value for the money. Kids love it so much. I will definitely recommend to family and friends and return back some other time.
    Great fun!

  5. Really fun day out. Pretty good value compared to some competitors, especially the food and drinks which are pretty reasonable prices by theme park standards.
Really needs more seating, especially near food outlets. Also some more shaded areas for hot days.
Some areas are a bit scruffy, but the rides are world class. Staff are really friendly.

Absolutely amazing place. We’ve been here about four times already and it’s wonderful. You’ve got toilets and loads of parking spaces. The beach is wow and the sand is super fine and soft. A bit windy but would recommend checking the place. Check out the town center also!

What a beautiful beach. Its quite but really accessible from the carpark which is 90p for an hour. Their are steps to get down to the beach.

It’s dog friendly. after September till May all day. In the summer, only before 8am and after 6pm.

When low tide the sea is a good walk away nut the sand is flat and you can walk all the way out.

Definitely a lovely way to spend a few hours but wellies are a good idea

The pier is home to multiple businesses that sell food ans drinks.

    Two thumbs up from me
Two thumbs up from my wife

It was our young dogs 1st time on a beach and she loved it. The sea was really far out so we got to enjoy a lot of space before we reached the sea. There were lots of poo bins dotted around the edge of the beach too which was good. We will definitely be coming back.

Love coming here for a walk along sand, it’s always clean and litter free. The areas that allow dogs is also clean and I’ve majority of people keep their dogs on leads or the dogs stay with their owners. We bring the grandchildren and they love coming with their bikes, kites and bucket/spade. There are some lovely little cafes along the front that sell great snacks, fish and chips, ice cream and coffee, all the usual and not bad prices

Beautiful clean beach and stunning views across to Southport and beyond to Wales. Sunset was divine. Have never been here before as we’ve always stopped at Blackpool. Decided to explore here and it was worth it. What a charming place. We’ll definitely come back in the summer.

Today after the covid-19 lockdowns the Southport air display was back on Saturday and Sunday Today I thought was the better day to go.our second time here surely a well spent £10 per adult

Spent the weekend here as the kids wanted to get away so we picked this place at random. The beach whilst vast isn’t really a beach you can go down and have a picnic and play around with on as most of it is under water and when the tide goes out, the sand is very wet. Saying that the beach goes on forever and if you are planning to walk on the sand, make sure you wear your wellies!! The pier is one of the longest piers I have been on and is great for a walk although it can get a little windy at times! There is even a little train which takes you up and down which is worth a go. At the end of the pier there is a cafe and amusement arcade with some old school penny games which was great for nostalgia. The cafe does a great hot chocolate and the ice cream was lovely. There is also a little hut serving fresh donuts which you can never resist because the smell draws you to them. Very friendly lady who served us and even gave us extra donuts! We stayed at Ocean Plaza which was very handy with free parking although the Pleasureland didn’t look that busy and very tired so we gave that a miss.

Went to 2022 airshow. Have to say after years of visiting raf Cosford this was a pleasant surprise. Just as much going on and a much better view. Well done Southport 👏

There’s a beach, not great as the sea is way too far out, and the sand isn’t great, its not very sandy, the beach also has grass.

Free parking with National Trust membership. £7/£8 without for full day. Toilets on the car park. Take food and drink with you as there isn’t anything close by walking. Beautiful dunes, clean well kept beach, dog friendly. Lovely day out!

Very lovely largely unspoilt family friendly beach. Weekdays are the quietest days to visit. Closest parking is at any of the 3 the National Trust car parks by the beach. I thoroughly had fun and enjoyed the ambience

    Lovely place to be 💖
My husband comes from the Mediterranean, and I from the Polish coast, we were both brought up “on the beach” that is why we often miss living close to the dunes and seawater. Fortunately, thanks to easy access to Formby Beach from Manchester, we can soothe our longings a little bit ❤️

Lovely beach, healthy walks in an endless coast. Sand, birds and fresh air are amazing
Highly recommended in winter or summer as long as sun is available
✭✭✭✭✭ By Bassem Ali (11 months ago)
Miles of fine sand dunes and shallow sea shores are some of the striking features of Formby beach. There is ample of parking space managed by national trust (£7.50 for entire day, payable at machine). The place has free toilets as well as path for disabled. The beach itself is very clean and has RLNI guards for safety. Keep some food and water/fluids as there are no provisions at the beach. Horse riding, kite flying, sailing, playing on sand-dunes, basking in breeze and sunshine or simply taking a leisurely stroll in shallow waters…this beach has something for everyone… definitely recommend to travel on a bright sunny day!

Great beach. Its a shame there were so few on it the day we went. We did see loads of people with dogs out for a walk. Large and very clean walk area

Beautiful beach with miles of seaside walking. Plenty of free parking but paid parking close to main beach.

It was very quiet at 12 o’clock on a Monday 👍 and we had a lovely hour strolling on the seafront.
Our only issue was how boggy the sand was near the sea 😐 my dog has hip dysplasia and there were times I thought I was going to have to ‘save’ him 😒 we won’t be taking him again but that’s not to say it isn’t suitable for all dogs 🙂
There is one toilet that you need 20p for.

Nice place for dogs and stunning views.
Only down side was my dog trying to be friendly with another.
To that owner, just ask me to call my dog away, not kick out at him, lucky you didn’t connect.
