  1. Lovely beach very clean and tidy. Close to the St Catherine Fort, really worth a visit as they need the support to refurbish the Fort. So many lovely views from the Fort and the weather was amazing today. Highly recommend for a day trip. Tenby is lovely to visit lots of very nice shops and good facilities.

  2. Castle Beach is a must on a visit to Tenby. A crescent shaped beach beside Tenby’s Harbour, it’s beautiful and clean.
There are cafés and takeaways adjacent to the beach and it’s not too far to the high street, if you fancy lunch away from the beach.

  3. Castle Beach is the smallest of Tenby’s three sandy beaches, at only about 150m wide and narrower at high tide. When the tide is out it is split in two by St. Catherine’s Island, with its old fort. At very low tide the sand is continuous with South Beach, forming an uninterrupted 2 mile stretch of golden beach. At the top of Castle beach is a wide sloping band of soft dry sand. Lower down it is firm, sloping on the left and fairly level on the right. A stone gateway leads to a steep slope which is reasonably smooth, patched tarmac and concrete and access for disabled people is fairly good.
Blue Flag beach. Dog restrictions apply to the whole beach west of St Catherine’s Island May – end September. Lifeguard service provided 10:00 – 18:00 15 June to 1 September 2019.

  4. Lost for words really as this place is beautiful and has everything you need to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable.. clean white sand .. crystal clear water and views to die for .. WOW ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏖

  5. What an amazing place! The beaches around Tenby are fabulous and our hotel for the weekend was on top of the cliff with outstanding views across Castle Beach as far as the Gower Peninsula. There are good steps down to the beach area with some hotels at the top having some nice gardens too. The sea looked very welcoming and even for October, there were a few swimmers about enjoying the light surf. Nice to see a clean tidy beach with golden sands. Brilliant!

What a great beach. Fine sand, a few stones that are great for decorating the sandcastle, and then this view. Dreamlike. In front of you is the shallow bay with great water, and behind it the rugged rocks on which the town is built. You can really stand it there for a while. Every now and then, the ice cream man comes by, and if you’re hungry or thirsty, you’ll find something in the neighbouring bars and restaurants.

Fantastic beach very clean with clear water, great kiosk selling delicious ice cream in many flavours, and lots of other fine foods, buckets and spades etc. They also have toilets very close to beach. I would highly recommend a visit to this beach. Although there is a ramp down the hillside or many steps it is well worth it.

Not been to Tenby for 9 years or so, not disappointed with today’s visit. Stunning scenery, beautiful clean beaches, lots of benches to rest, great choice of eating venues both dine in or takeaway. Obviously good weather helps wherever visiting, today did not disappoint. Absolutely love this area of Wales

Stunning! Easy parking above the beach. £3 for 5 hours. Short walk into the town centre. Make sure you stop at the little cliff top bar with great views out to the islands just off the coast. It’s right in front of the Atlantic Hotel.

Great little town of Tenby. From the castle you can have a great view of the town lovely beaches, St Catherine Island including the Fort at the end. Free to walk round path is steep to go up but paths are ideal for prams and wheelchairs

Definitely a nice place to visit. Must walk up to the top and the view up there…just amazing. Sit on a chair and feel the sea, all the stress will disappear it’s rly a gift from nature.

Perhaps the term castle is a little too generous. The statue, a turret and 2 cannons, OK. But, what you can’t deny is a fantastic location with great views of the north beach, the south beach and the town of Tenby with its pretty house fronts.

Lovely little castle on a hill. We had a buggy with us and we were able to get to the top no problems. Was great to have a 360 view of Tenby which we loved visiting.

Nice place for a weekend stay. The city center is fenced with a medieval wall. Super clean beach and great sea view from the castle.

Visited here for a friend’s 40th birthday and must say the food was delicious. The staff were busy and I did get the impression they were running short but they couldn’t have been nicer. Everyone we interacted with was polite, friendly and the night was thoroughly enjoyable. Definitely would go back.

I stumbled upon this beach bar upon a visit to Tenby. The food was good and the portion sizes are very generous in comparison to what you’d get at a similar style restaurant in England. The location of this eatery is perfect for beach users and those wanting to eat or have a drink on the beachfront. The bonus was that the staff are lovely and the service attentive.

Amazing restaurant, with a good variety of food, the staff are so welcoming and lovely. If your visiting busy Tenby this is the place to eat at! Book in advance. This beautiful little gem is right on the beach, with beautiful views and walks. Will definitely book again. Diolch or galon for a beautiful evening.

Sunny day and we needed shade as we had a baby with us, but because we had a dog we were outside. We asked to have one of their large umbrellas up, but although it wasn’t windy they said they were unable to do this. Drink service was quick.

Lovely sandy beach with stunning views and rock pools to explore plus it’s on the coastal path if you want to wander further afield. Access is via a narrow road which won’t be fun during peak season. Free toilets at the car park and an ice cream van are the only facilities so bring your own picnic.

We walked from Manorbier to Freshwater Lake and back along the coastal path last week. N.B.The car park doesn’t take cards and there was no phone reception so we had to go back to the village to get cash at the shop( annoying!).
Beach is quite pretty although not the best on this coastal stretch ( there’s a fair bit of competition). It’s a mix of shingle and sand and was used by body boarders, paddle boarders etc as fairly wavy.
Fantastic, quite hard walk from here (lots of up and down on some scrabbly and would be very muddy paths in wet weather, my husband thought it wasn’t too tough though!) The views going and coming from the beach are lovely. We also visited the castle which is just about worth the entrance price of £6 (£4.50/5 would be more realistic) and the views from the Tower towards the beach are fab!

Beautiful dog-friendly beach which doesn’t get too busy. Great waves for body-boarding, but be aware there’s no lifeguard

Beautiful location with stunning views. Great beach for kids with rock pools and stream running across beach. Not the best for sand or swimming though. Ample parking (pay at meter) and nice short flat walk from car park which makes it one of the most accessible in the area.

Nice small sandy beach with castle views is really nice, good parking and facilities too. Was very busy as is only small and gets quite stoney and quickly deep when the tide goes out which the kids weren’t such a fan off, but the river was good for playing in.
