This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. The service is unmatched! The hostess Noussa was very friendly, we felt like if we’ve known her forever! Kind, happy to be there. In detail she explained the menu and gave us some suggestions! Amazing Mediterranean food!
They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some Mediterranean classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.Noussa pampered my dad preparing a “Tunisian coffee” in our table!
I almost forgot! The variety of pastries will make you crazy! You wont be able to decide what to get!
What a place!
If you are craving for real Mediterranean food THIS IS THE PLACE!By Martha Arce (2 months ago)The best Mediterranean Spot in South Florida. Hands down. I’ve been here 2 million times and only now writing a review. This Spot and the food portions is on steroids son. Truly worth the visit. Or App delivery purchase. But better to go in person. This Food is truly amazing ?? TREAT YO SELF! Poetic Approved!By PoeticChef (8 months ago)Great and fast service, food was fantastic and the manager was super friendly like he’s known us since forever. Outstanding food, the grilled chicken was mind blowing, loved everything!By Cynthya Flores Zein (9 months ago)Al-Salam Mediterranean Restaurant was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I ordered their chicken and beef open pies for my baby shower. Sona (Suzy) is the daughter of the owner and helped me with the order. She even gave me her personal cell number and was very responsive. Suzy is kind, humble, and flexible. My order was ready on time and everyone loved the pies!I highly recommend their Ramadan buffet during April. It’s from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day. Everything is prepared in the house, fresh and full of flavor! It’s the most authentic flavor of Middle Eastern cuisine that I have ever tried in South Florida! They use high-quality products and stick to traditional recipes from Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria. And don’t worry if you are not Muslim, everyone is warmly welcomed!
I love supporting individual businesses and I am so happy that I discovered Al-Salam! Thank you for providing us with high-quality products, warm customer service, and tastylicious cuisine!

Definitely worth a place to visit! The food is amazing. We actually had a very tiring day and ended up coming just for tea. The owner was so kind to make us a big cup of tea. It was so kind! We ended up ordering food as well and it was beyond delicious.
The server was so courteous.By Ashleen Naidu (7 months ago)If you’re looking for genuinely delicious Indian food in the I-Drive / Universal area – this is the place to go! I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted – I basically told him I was stuck choosing between chicken tikka masala and a biryani (my favorite traditional meal) – and after a polite conversation with the owner, he knew exactly what to do! After prompt delivery of a tasty Taj Mahal beer and some fresh garlic naan, out walks this BEAUTY of a sunset-colored biryani – and you could smell that tikka masala influence before it even got to the table! Aside from how amazing it looked and smelled, I could not have asked for a better blend of my two favorite Indian dishes. The spice level was perfect, the chicken was tender, and the aroma was just shy of intoxicating – and on a side note the consistency of their raita is perfect, not too runny!! Apart from the amazing cuisine I was about to indulge myself in, the service was awesome. From the owner down to the kitchen staff, everybody was so kind and so accommodating! On the way out, the owner caught me and told me to wait – he rushed back inside and grabbed a bottle of water for me, saying it was necessary for me to have water to accompany my leftovers. In a world of tired and burnt out restaurant staff, you don’t see an act of service like that too often anymore and I’m very grateful for that consideration!Bottom line, if you’re in Orlando and you’re on the prowl for some good food – PLEASE make the trip, you won’t regret it!
By Dustin Gerstel (2 months ago)This restaurant is a decent place for indian food. We only tried Chicken Tikka Masala , which tasted good and was really creamy. We also ordered plain naan and garlic naan, one of which came cold. Upon complaining, the staff quickly replaced it. Both types of naan tasted good.By Khana Safarnama (6 months ago)This was my first time visiting the Taj Mahal restaurant and I have to say it was a very outstanding experience. From the wonderful and friendly service to the delicious and satisfying food. The flavors from the Butter Chicken curry was amazing ? and the Garlic Naan as posted below was very very good. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Orlando area looking for good Indian cuisine!By Nickylili (9 months ago)Absolutely LOVED this place, the food the staff! Everything tasted so amazing & each dish was packed with so many flavors. The staff is so welcoming & you just get a comfortable laid back vibe. If you’re not sure what to order, the staff is more than happy to recommend special dishes. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anybody in the area!By Ressaa C (a year ago)

Ordered Hummus and Pita – Hummus was amazing. Loved it. Pita bread was fresh and soft. Ordered chicken shawarma – could have been better – it was slightly dry. Good place to eat. Clean and pleasant seating.By shravya murthy (5 months ago)Amazing Amazing food no words, steaks was so so good , double cheese burger ?. In fact everything was so delicious ?. Must visit this restaurant when ever you are in Miami . Must tried restaurant. Amazing people with great service along with super delicious food. Authentic cuisine. ????By Durra a (5 months ago)Great customer service from the waiter and the cooks. Quick to get the food. I ordered chicken shawarma and it came with fries and drink. The chicken shawarma seemed a little dry to me and also the fries were not anything special. My friend ordered the chicken kabab platter and everything on the platter was good. I would recommend this establishment to try out for yourself.By L Saji (4 months ago)That’s one of my favorite Mediterranean places!!! The service is great but the Halal food is even better! I had a homemade lentil soup, baba ghanoush and Moroccan sausage! All the dishes were made with love! It’s definitely a great place with amazing food excellent service and good prices!By Tima Caraus (a month ago)I love Al Basha. I order from them a lot since I work nearby. Everything is always filling and fresh. The portions are large and the delivery is fast. I’ve never had a single thing wrong with my orders and I order multiple times a week. Definitely recommend, they have something for everyone. I always order a side kabob and side rice because the actual meal is far too large for me to finish, so you can see just how big their portions are.By Alysia Nicole (9 months ago)

Decent halal guys location. Their new herb beef is pretty good. It was easy to order online and the food was ready when we got there. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous. Falafels are decent and not too dry. I’d come back when I’m craving this kind of food.By Nancy (5 months ago)It was the worse Gyro I’ve ever had. Place was empty at 12:30 on a Saturday. Should’ve been the sign. The bread was old or had been frozen, it broke up while eating. The meat was pre-cut, dry and flavorless, it was like eating a napkin, just terrible. Sauce didn’t taste like anything. The tomato And lettuce was fresh and probably the only thing that was good on the sanduíche. The server seemed like she was miserable and not friendly and the other employee was sitting chatting with a friend. Bathroom was relatively clean but no paper to dry hands. They charged us .50 cents for olives and didn’t bother to tell us it was an up charge . My wife got sick when we got home. Not going back .By Paulo Almeida (6 months ago)The fries are great. The falafel is great. The hummus is great. The white sauce is good while the red sauce is extremely hot and flavorful. But the chicken and rice and gyro – aka, the entree? Eh. Not very flavorful. Five stars for the sides, three for the dishes. Be sure to get red sauce if you can handle it. Prices are very fair.By Daniel Seeman (6 months ago)Johnny absolutely killed it from every aspect: quick and delicious plates for my whole family packed with care for my drive back to Tampa. The friendly passion for the food and customer service he was providing, is how this chain has such loyal customers. From my time in NY to my time in Tampa now, I will drive any distance or wait any line for that quality of service and care. Food was delicious as expected, but going above and beyond for fans of the chain is that extra step that was greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work Johnny!By Christopher Piazza (8 months ago)Food was awful. Definitely could never compare to NYC halal cart food. On top of the food being just straight up bland & tasteless , the workers were disgustingly rude. Someone banged on the door while I was in the restroom and they were closing in 45 min. And when I walked out all the workers were in a corner laughing. Please hire mature adults ! ThanksBy Maryam Ali (9 months ago)

So there you have it, the top 18 Halal restaurants in Florida. Did we miss your favorite spot? Let us know in the comments aboce and be sure to check out our other lists for the best of the best when it comes to food. Bon appetit!
The food here is very good, great place for anyone looking for zabiha halal food!! I got a half pepperoni and half cheese pizza and masha allah it was perfect! It’s a good place to come with family. 10/10 I would definitely eat here again!!
I truly appreciated this spot in my time of need. My friend and I stumbled upon it accidentally. They’re open “late” for Orlando and the customer service was great. The owner was very friendly and kept a smile on our faces. The food was pretty good. We enjoyed chicken shawarma and fries with drinks and that ran us around $33 which is not bad. So good, forgot to take a before photo. Highly recommend if you enjoy a nice cozy place for a bite to eat.
Despite the friendly staff , the food quality is very bad. The pizza is literally frozen, the type you buy from the supermarket for $5, but yet I paid $25 for it! Gyro and showerma had no flavor at all and they seem to be defrost / not fresh. The prices are not even cheap for that terrible quality.
Will never recommend it to anybody!
This place was on my list to visit, finally got a chance to visit. Owner was nice, welcoming and courteous.
Food was OK, nothing crazy. I ordered chicken shawarma and I felt it was blend and missing seasoning and vegetables. His place also needs serious renovation, Bathroom sink was broken and no napkins to dry hands.
So we ordered 12 wings, 2 12″ pizzas. 1 with pepperoni and 1 with donner meat. Both the pizza’s had meat just stuck on top of the cheese, the base was none existent, the cheese tasted very sour and didn’t look melted. I know for a fact that the wings were over cooked, re-heated, cooked at least a day or two before, dry and flavourless. My kids tried to eat the pizza, but ended picking at it as they were hungry but weren’t enjoying it. I shared my wings with the kids again not edible. None of the food had any flavour or taste the only grace was it was halal. Should have stuck to fish, or veg given the fact we paid above $60 for it. See photo of the pizza left over. That’s exactly how we were given it. I read another review on here, stating that they felt cheap frozen pizzas were used instead, I agree with that theory as it explains the cheese being under the topping on both pizzas and it tasting frozen. Our food took 15min to cook and make from scratch…. I don’t think so!
