Impact Recovery is the place to come if your at the end of your rope and truly want to get sober. The staff doesn’t just teach the 12 step program, they live it. Humble gentlemen who really understand the work and can explain so well, to where it can relate to anyones story or struggle. I came in here thinking I knew everything there was to know about the big book and the work. I had a completely new experience that has opened my eyes to a new way to live my life not just sober, but with happiness and with peace . I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to start a new way of life.

Incredible place that changed my life! I will forever be grateful for the growth and direction that Impact Recovery Center provided me. I had an immersive 12-Step experience and learned the Big Book the way that I believe it was intended to be taught. The work is laid out in a way that anyone can understand it, as the staff works with residents in small groups in order to best reach each individual resident. I had a very personable experience with each staff member and am happy to call each of them a friend today! Incredible experience!

I can honestly say that this place saved my life when I thought nothing could. The staff is filled with Recovered men and women that truly want to see success in your life and will teach you exactly how to obtain just that. If you are looking to recover from a life crippling disease then Impact Recovery Center is the place to go. The facility itself is a beautiful and fun place to be at all times. I am forever grateful for this place and what it has done for my life.

This program has been an amazing experience that has completely changed my life drastically. The staff is great, and really know how to bring you through important work that will save your life. If you’re sick of being sick, then this is the place that you can get well. I never imagined being as content as I am without alcohol, and to be able to live without going through life numb. It’s absolutely mind-blowing.

Birmingham Recovery Center is simply the best out there. I immediately felt welcomed by all of the staff from day one, and the community there is like no other. Every single counselor brings something different to the table & truly care about you and your progress. I cannot recommend BRC enough; my depression and anxiety were through the roof when I first came in, and they’ve not only given me my life back, but given me an even better life than before.

I am one of thousands that suffer from heroin addiction in Jefferson County, Alabama, and I needed BRC. My children will benefit the most from what I take away from this profound experience. The staff is out standing. There is not a soul there who doesn’t genuinely care about a better version of YOU. I highly recommend this if you are suffering from addiction, and pray you get to experience what peace of mind feels like. Sobereity is so beautiful and if you are taking the time to read the reviews I sincerely hope you give them an opportunity to help you find inner peace. (Lunch provided is even freaking amazing!)

The whole team of counselors and doctors at BRC have been so helpful for our family. They’re so kind and knowledgeable, and they not only help the addict, they help the family affected. We 100% recommend them and believe they are one of the best places in Alabama to seek help.

4D absolutely saved my life! I battled debilitating alcoholism for years, my life was completely unmanageable. After several trips to rehab, medical detoxes and hospitalizations, I ended up at 4D. It was one of the best decisions of my life! I needed a safe and supportive living environment and 4D was perfect for that. The staff works hard to provide the structure and stability needed for those working on their recovery. Being surrounded by others battling the same demons is priceless. Any communal living environment is subject to drama and other issues but 4D works with each resident to maintain the best possible circumstances for her and the group. Because I wanted and needed this so desperately, I am forever grateful to them for my 16 months of residency and my 22 months of sobriety!

I have been in and out of treatment centers for the last four years. When I finally had enough, I was willing to do anything to stay clean. I went to the 4th Dimension, 4D, after completing long term treatment. I arrived the day the state shut down in 2019. I could not have felt more comfortable from the time I got there. I truly believe I would not be clean today without having gone there. The staff is beyond amazing. It is obvious that they care about their clients. The women I met there and the things I learned have allowed me to continue on my recovery journey and be able to help others.

Four and a half years ago, I was a miserable, wasting away, begging for it to end, wreck of a person. 4th Dimension saved my life, gave me a new lease, perspective and peace that I have never known. It was not easy changing everything about myself, but the life I know now was so worth it. The main program is 6 months, but I decided to stay 1 & ½ years longer in the 7/8’s program. I had been living a harmful existence for so long, that I needed extra time to change my old ideas and daily living skills. I was able to establish a new footing and line out emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally. I now work in the sober living industry myself, so I firsthand know of the dedication and perseverance of Ms. Ellen and all the staff at 4D to help you change your life.

You would be hard pressed to find a program that cares more for the welfare of their residents than Scott and Danny. 4D is one of the few places where the staff make decisions based on the needs of the individual and not the bottom line. Four years on and I am still in touch with Scott and Taylor, and many of my closest friends are people I met when I lived there. I’ve been all over the country and can honestly say that 4D is unparalleled in their commitment to their residents.

If you’re shopping for sober living residences, this is the one to be at that’s successfully nurtured many women (and men) through the first several months of sobriety, providing the sound foundation for long-term sobriety. Women’s program set in comfy townhouses that feel like real homes (with wood burning fireplaces even!), and recently opened program accommodating moms with smaller children. 12-step oriented with added emphasis on mindfulness & meditation practice, but flexible enough to accommodate residents’ individual needs. Extremely supportive, compassionate staff who’ve been there & walked recovery journey themselves & are dedicated to mentoring others along same path. Also has extended stay program.

Yesterday I had a review with my counselor, the supervisor, the doctor and another lady who I believe is higher up in this facility! In this review I was totally disrespected by my counselor in several different ways. She asked a question and I answered it honestly but while I was answering her she cut me off clapping her hands snapping her fingers and yelling my name and scooting to the front of her seat as if this was a fight and not a discussion! Not once did I raise my voice not once did I interrupt anyone not once did I speak with hand gestures and not once did I move in my seat to make anyone feel threatened! But yet I had to leave this place with her threatening to drop my medicine by the week but also not tell me what that would do to my body! All day yesterday all I could do was cry! I am a mother of many children can u imagine how I feel as an adult being treated the way that I was in there. Made me feel underneath them all! How was that behavior suppose to help me?? I accept what I did wrong not once did I deny it so I never understood why was that necessary 🤔 I woke up went back to the clinic today to see she dropped my medicine but also I’m still in tears! This only made me want to quit!

This clinic gives you the runaround. High turnover with counselors. And the ones that do work there don’t do what they’re supposed to do. They like to come up with clever little ways to not allow you to phase up. drug screens come back positive for things you’ve not taken. For example, testing positive for alcohol when the person doesn’t drink. They won’t allow you to take a hair follicle test paid for by the patient to prove that their drug screens are wrong. If you can go somewhere else and get good care, I highly recommend you do that.

Have been treated with the up most respect, I couldn’t have been given a more caring, loving, counselor when I made my transfer!!!!!!!!😁😌 (feeling blessed 4 that!) But she rocks!! Not to long after transferring I had a major come apart in her office & other counselors came in to h& helped me calm down, but they, my counselor & her coworkers did it in such a truly caring & concerned way!!!!! I left with the feeling that I was a whole person & they treated me with so much dignity & respect, not like I was just another number, but a person!!! They have ALWAYS treated me like one of them, they will (when time allows) joke around with clients & I truly get the feeling that my counselor cares in my progress & how my depression has been. Idk, every one has different experiences, this has been mine…. Don’t give up on you, believe it or not, there are people who want to help you, the whole you, you ARE worth the fight!!!!

In my personal experience I did not start the clinic to get clean, but I ended up with a counselor who believed in me and pushed me to stay true to myself and simply be honest about whatever I was going through. I hated going there so I never wanted to talk or share, but she never let me wiggle around it. At some point I got motivated about taking care of myself and my love ones. I stopped using and received takehomes which makes life at the clinic way more convenient. I must say this before you step through those doors and commit make sure you research what you are about to do. The first few months are tough but make your goal and out there as well. Methadone is highly addictive and tuff to detox off of. I’m on day 6 it’s and it’s no going back. Just educate yourself… I would never have gotten clean without the clinic. While you’re there use your resources, there is a lot out there for folks us. You just gotta research. Thanks Brenda for believing in me.

I rated them a five star only because treatment saved my life. I have been there for eight years. Please be aware that you are required to come in for bottle checks or lose your take home meds. Today I found out that when they call you in for a check they call from different area codes….robo calling….if your phone blocks these calls…you lose your take homes. This is a new method….be aware. In my case I am charged for every call that I answer so now I have to answer calls from every area code in the world. They have set the patients up for failure or bankruptcy. .

I actually graduated from this program. They helped me with furthering my education by helping me get into college. They loved me when I felt unlovable. They offer so much to their clients. That includes a personal relationship with you n more importantly, offering a place of worship where you can develope a personal relationship with Jesus. They not only allow children to live there with their mothers, but they actually help guide you down the right path to be reunited with them if you need that. I would strongly suggest The Lovelady Center to all women that choose to have a better life without the use of substances! Life CAN be wonderful…..

The lovelady truly changes lives. Through faith based classes, daily devotion, and a staff that truly radiates the love of Jesus!! I was a meth addict for 20 years and came here at my absolute worst. My faith and life have both been restored. The love, kindness, patience, and guidance I have seen here is amazing.

I was there on SRP in 2013 . And again in 2016 . And what I learned there is still so much a part of my daily life . I cannot even begin to imagine my life without having been to the Lovelady Center. I am wonderfully blessed to have had that experience; to have lived in that place , immersed in God’s love every moment. I cannot even express the depth of my gratitude.

This place is a joke old nasty and run down!! My family member was introduced to fentnayl for the first time in this run down facility for the first 60 days they have these women in a run down open dorm with over 40 women crammed in a place that should have maybe 15 women sleeping in the hallways water leaks and rats and roaches this place is hardly a step up from a third world country prison facility or Alabama doc men’s prison save your money!!
