Edgewater literally saved my life. I have Medicare and it would not cover inpatient treatment for addiction. I had called for two days trying to get into treatment centers and no one would take me. They gave me a grace bed and helped me get a voucher to cover some of my treatment. They took a chance on me. Edgewater allowed me to heal in a safe place for 6 months.I learned so much about myself while they prepared me to reintegrate back in the real world. They addressed my mental health issues and helped me set up appointments for my physical health. The staff left nothing unaddressed. I have over a year without any mind or mood altering substances now. I have a job as a Peer Support Specialist working for Edgewater Recovery Centers. The first job I have had in ten years or more. I owe a debt of graditude to Edgewater and the staff that work there. Edgewater gave me a place that I could learn about my addiction at my own pace. Without Edgewater i may not ever have been introduced to the Narcotics Anonymous program that has saved my life and is teaching me how to live differently daily. No doubt without either program I would still be in the vicious cycle. I am forever grateful that I was awarded the opportunity to learn about recovery at Edgewater and have a second chance in life.

I’m so grateful for Edgewater Recovery Center it saved my life after more than 20 years of drug addiction! I lost everything including my kids, family, and most of all myself! Coming to treatment in my own hometown I didn’t know what to expect but Edgewater gave me the tools to be able to stay here and stay clean. Edgewater recovery center has been a continuous life changing entity for me. When I arrived (beaten up by life, lonely, homeless, and struggling to cling to life). They welcomed me with open arms and love. There was no judgement no ridicule. Only love and the want to help me learn how to live life without the use of drugs. Today i am a productive member of my community. I have a great job where I get to help others the way I was helped. Edgewater loved me when I couldn’t find a reason to live myself.

I’m grateful for the life I have today, and that hope started when I was a client of Edgewater. I completed 6 months of treatment but I gained more than a certificate of completion. I did my Mental health clinical at this center. From day one, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The nurses and staff were very educational in helping me learn. I saw firsthand how they treated their clients with the utmost caring behavior, and they treated them like family. The facility is beautiful, clean, and professional. We even met James Sweasy and Todd Sharp. Hearing their stories and how much they want to help others is fascinating. I want to thank them and Alex and Kendra for this experience personally. I recommend anyone needing help to come here; you won’t regret it.

This place was better than any treatment facility I have ever been. The staff was great, I could tell they all truly cared instead of treating this as a paycheck. The groups were very informative and different than basic treatment information, I got valuable information from every group that I hadn’t heard before. Also the place was so fun! We could play pool, ping pong, corn hole, basketball and there were weekly tournaments. Highly highly recommend this place literally zero complaints.

I completed my clinical rotation for nursing school at RAC. This is a phenomenal facility! I felt so welcome by all the staff. We were always greeted with a smile and always told if we needed anything just to ask! I highly recommend this facility!!

This place is Amazing. I have been to 2 other rehab facilities in the area and RAC is 10 times better. The team here made my detox extremely comfortable, and all are so welcoming and most are living proof that sobriety is achievable and enjoyable! Journey Pure in Bowling Green is one of the best places I’ve been to seek help with from addiction. They are all very caring and so helpful. I’ve met some amazing people who have worked there that still check on me. From my experience not too many doctors are that caring and understanding! Journey’s experience for me was excellent! The tech’s, case management and therapist’s are great! Mine was Gretchen and Adam they had plenty of time with me and had me set up for sober living when I left! Went to outside meetings and had a lot of activities for all of us to do! Highly recommend it and it’s dual diagnosis place! The housing is condos with 2 to a room. But I’m more confident about my recovery with their help! Thank you

I came to Journeypure Bowling Green from across the country with a suitcase and little hope. I’ve been happily clean and sober for over 3 years now. This was by far the best treatment I’ve ever received. All staff is incredible. I received so much love and support from people who really understood me. Individualized and group therapy cover a multitude of underlying issues. Case management helps with all aspects of relapse prevention and continuing care plan. There is also an alumni group and special coordinator for additional support after leaving treatment. I recommend Journeypure Bowling Green 100%.
