The entire staff is so helpful, friendly and compassionate. The meals are prepared by a fantastic chef and are pretty yummy. On top of that, there is a “snack bar” available 24 hrs/day!
I didn’t have the opportunity to work closely with all of the staff but Leah, Maddy, Larry, Janelle, Jessica, Jenn, Connie, and Michelle consistently went above and beyond to make us comfortable, welcome, and at home – as much as that’s possible in a detox center 😁

This place has some of the most amazing people you’ll ever meet and everyone from the BHTS to the Clinical Director are super in tune with your recovery and even though they’re short staffed right now, they try so hard to work with who and what they have. Thank you guys so much for my time here. Libby, Thank you so much for being there for me when I was going through the worst time. Came here to get some help after i felt i had lost control. The staff was insanely attentive and amazing! There are too many to name, but the experience was life changing! Food is available 24/7 and regular meals are excellent! I made many friends during my stay which helped make my detox much easier. All around was an eye opening and amazing experience . This place has absolutely the best staff that you could ask for, they treat you with real compassion and care. The food was a lot better than expected and all around this place has changed me for the better . If you plan on getting healthy and getting right , this is without a doubt the place to do it. BHT’s Scott, Sara, Edrich, Nate, Neal, Jeanne and Kylee were all great support, friendly and helpful with my stay. Nurses Larry and Christine answered all my questions and were very helpful. Food was great Anita and Corey made awesome meals. Clinician’s Sara, Lea and John took the time to listen and offered great feedback and guidance.

Definitely became a new person at this place. Everywhere has its ups and downs, but this place has mostly ups. The peer connection, in depth classes, and mental health treatment is amazing. The counselors here are absolutely remarkable, they truly changed my life. I’m going to be forever grateful for this facility and the amazing things they did for me. I recommend this place to anyone looking for recovery. I’ve been given a second chance thanks to Free by the Sea. Free by the sea has great content, programs you can work up in while still living on campus and great counselors! This place saved my life and I went in wanting to stay only 30 days and stayed 99 days because my stay was so great. I love the angle they educate on addiction, and mental health! I feel you want the help, Id recommend it to anyone!

I really enjoyed my time here at Free by the Sea. I was nervous to go to a treatment center and when I arrived the staff and counselors all made me feel at home. Being close to the sea really helped with my recovery and made it peaceful while I was here. Some of the activities I really enjoyed were Yoga, our process groups, and AA meetings. I highly recommend Free by the Sea if you are looking for a treatment center.

I was scared to take this step and admit I needed help but I’m so glad I did and I’m so lucky to have started my journey here. Free by the Sea is a compassionate and supportive environment to get sober. The staff truly cares for their clients and they make every effort to help you succeed. I was able to get my feet back under me and now I actually feel prepared and excited about my future! Never would have said that only 2 months ago. (and the view does not hurt one bit!)

This place is amazing. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. When first calling you almost always speak so someone in admissions right away and if it is after hours, they follow up first thing the next morning.
The staff are very personable and knowledgeable about the program, and you are really able to take control of your own recovery process.
The area is absolutely beautiful, the facility is literally steps to the beach and Pacific Ocean, there are plenty of hiking trails and places to explore.
The kitchen staff are so friendly and the food is GREAT! I was also glad to see that they accommodate different dietary needs.
There is a wellness coordinator that focuses on health, healing, mediation, yoga and a natural approach to living life in balance.

Overall it is just an amazing place to start a new path and I would recommend it to anyone!

The NWRC helped me work through a lot of the challenges that I was not ready to deal with until I started attending their sessions. They provide an open and inviting space to work through things at your own pace. Highly recommend, even if you feel that you are not ready when you start.

Wonderful and a great place to refocus whether court ordered, Employer referrals or self. The therapist are awesome, they have your back even when you fall short. I miss the therapist guided group sessions. NWRC brought out the best in me and gave me the tools to navigate through my recovery. and yes, it was fun too. Kudos NWRC

Great place, great people. I was nervous walking into a recovery center but once I started going I felt really comfortable. It’s a really easy going atmosphere that’s open and friendly. I was shocked at how much fun people actually had going to treatment. The staff is not only educated but experienced and understanding and can relate to others struggling with substance abuse. I am so thankful to have found this place, they definitely assisted me in starting a second life.

Went here for a court ordered alcohol evaluation. I don’t even drink but maybe a couple times a year, they reported that I need treatment and now I’m in a mess of a situation. Maybe they should evaluate themselves and make sure they’re capable of constructing these evaluations.

A very nice place the staff, the rooms. I would say it’s more like a motel 6 than a detox. My detox was pretty smooth, the meds they use to ease off made It simple. Only a few hours of restless leg one night! Etc. the food is a 4 out 10, but they are working on it. They need soda and candy!!! As for the food, if you don’t like what they have, there’s cookies, breakfast cereal, toasted bagels n cream cheese, yogurt, different crackers and lots of gator aid. You won’t go hungry!

Very positive experience overall. Peers were awesome. All employees were helpful and kind. Great walking path. Instructors were very knowledgeable. I did PHP after residential, I’m glad I did.

Washington Recovery Village in Ridgefield was a nightmare and only made my PTSD worse. Severely understaffed and chaotic. Clients had somehow brought in Fentanyl and were actively using it while in detox, residential and PHP. The staff are unreliable and it is very small with alarms on the doors. This is not a kind place for survivors of PTSD trying to get some help with addiction issues. DO NOT send yourself or your loved one here. They lost me as well and it ended with me being given to Lyft driver after Lyft driver while intoxicated with zero plan of where I was going. I was lost and it was traumatic for me and my family. This happened the first night I had tried to be admitted their on my own choice. I, being an alcoholic, was wasted and they did not handle it well at all. This place is small, I have serious concerns about facility cleanliness and physical safety. A client had been targeting young women in the facility and assaulting them EVEN THOUGH staff are reportedly watching cameras at all hours. Ridiculous. Scared the hell out of me AND my family.

The Recovery Village is my first go to in referring clients for treatment. Being an alternative to the 12 steps, and being psychological in nature then people with both addiction and mood issues can get the proper treatment they need. Two thumbs up!

Royal is not only a treatment center, they’ve become family. When Life was excruciating painful and hard, royal made it easy for me. They set up my court dates, helped me get my license back, they made appointments for me until I felt I could do it on my own. They help you get jobs and have classes based around careers.
I’m 10 months sober and I have Royal Life to thank for that. I could never do it on my own or in a place that didn’t care. Not only does Royal care, but their supportive on every level. It’s hard enough getting sober but Royal has your back through it thick and thin and it definitely helps that they understand the whole process and sincerely want what’s best for you.
Royal truly sets you up to have a successful life moving forward. There’s so many members of the staff I would like to thank for my success in sobriety but Emily, Michelle, and Temica have always gone above and beyond and have made Changes for the better. Royal wouldn’t the the same without these 3 ladies.
They all have so much on their plate but are always there for you no matter what. I believe everything happens for a reason and I know I wouldn’t have made it this far without Royal and Royal life staff. When I think of Royal, I think of family because they become family.

This place and program saved my life. Finally surrendering and admitting I needed help and coming here was the best decision I’ve ever made. I found a new family and was around people that actually understood me. I finally wasn’t alone. All of the facilitators and techs all are in recovery as well and understand where we’ve been as eell. The variety of classes helps so much. You’re able to take and learn on a range of levels. I even picked up the hobby of making music in the studio. If you put the work in and take it seriously, it will be worth it. This program is great. Life changing. I got a lot of love for this program and for all of the people I met because of it.

Recently completed the inpatient program at the Sumner WA site and was extremely pleased with the results and facility. Only reason I did not give 5 stars was that your “Councilor” was never available to see you as they proclaimed at most every other day.. Yeah.. Right.. I saw this person when I checked in and out of the facility and only one other time after leaving multiple notes taped to their door. Extremely disappointed in this service… Extremely disappointed. I refused to let this lapse in service keep me from my goals or the excellent service and care I received. I would gladly recommend the center to those seeking help and treatment.

I was thinking about my addiction when I was there, I was able to leave and meet up with my wife. We both came to get help, the problem was that it was allowed to be together after 2weeks. Well you can probably guess, we left and went right back to our drug problem.
When I asked for my belongings back there was many of my nice items missing. This treatment center is only going to work if you want it to, unfortunately I wasn’t able to be a strong enough person at the time.
Fortunately my wife and I are still together and got past the grips of heroin. Thanks for keeping my belongings Sound 👍
