  1. Lovely beach with plenty of space and definitely not crowded. Also free parking and tasty fish and chips shop nearby.Ample space at Blyth gardens for relaxing and it’s neatly maintained by the local council.Roads are very neat and well maintained with beautiful see facing apartments located along the road. This would definitely deserve a wonderful holiday, away from all the hustle and bustle at the regular beaches.

  2. Beautiful stretch of the coastline, good for chilling out and plenty of seat to look out of the sea and enjoy the view. Blyth battery is also point of interest since its near the beach itself. kids will definitely love it.

  3. Beautiful soft sanded beach with nearby washing amenities as well as free parking by the bandstand. Local park also and a ice cream parlour. Plenty of places to sit down with easy ramped access also.

  4. Beautiful clean beach. Pier to walk along for a better view. Lovely local fishermen to chat to along the way.
One of the nicer beaches for a wild swim. Water has no hidden dips into deeper water just a smooth walk through the ocean.
A great place to spot jellyfish to.

  5. Lovely clean beach and designated dog area for walking which is great. Plus really nice fish and chip shop alongside an ice cream parlour to finish your visit. Highly recommend

Absolutely beautiful beach with some delightful sights including the tiny harbour. Parking is easy at the car park which accepts mobile payments, and you can enjoy a lengthy walk, though it may be quite windy – it never dropped below about 20mph on any of the occasions we visited.

The beach is lovely and clean. We did get great weather which does help. The public carpark is reasonable and is in easy access to the beach. There are public toilets next to the car park, however they are not the cleanest. There is an ice cream van which was really nice, and a hut to get teas , coffees, snacks etc…. They also do other substantial meals, but we just had drinks. They only accept card.

Love this beach, shallow quite far out, really good for paddle boarding. main car park can get very busy and the public toilets aren’t great by any stretch of the imagination. Beach shack in car park is great for food and coffee is brilliant, but a little on the pricey side.
my family inc young children love this bay…

Wonderful beach. Just what the kids wanted. Well worth a visit or stop over if heading further north or south primarily as main car park is just 30 seconds walk to the sand. Perfect.

Beautiful sandy beach backed by dunes and interspersed with shallow rocky outcrops which are great for rock pooling when the tide allows. Car park behind the dunes with cafés and toilets. A quaint harbour sits to one side which is worth a wander around. Pretty much all you need for a day out at the seaside.

We hit the trail on top of the cliff top above this gorgeous deserted Beach during a glorious September sunset,
whilst a pod of dolphins swam off the coast and the moon rose up big and pink above the sea. Mother Nature at her glorious best. Heart achingly beautiful

A lovely beach, took the grand kids the weather was warm and sunny we parked just opposite the caravan site and walked down a few dozen steps on to fine golden sand, we took a blanket and sat for hours while the kids ran around throwing stones into the sea, scampering around the rock pools and collecting shells they had the best of times and went home tired out and ready for bed

We stayed right by this beach on holiday. Really nice beach for kids or a long stroll.

Very relaxing and lovely sand. Such a large beach, nice sand. A wind breaker may be necessary. Quicker to walk to than Bamburgh. Some nice eateries close by for refreshments. Parking free on road but limited in my opinion as the town has lots of double yellow lines and the reviews of the car park suggest it’s not suitable for low cars with the pot holes.

Lovely sandy beach in Alnmouth, that is very popular with holiday makers and day trippers . Making parking the car can be difficult. Best time is in the evening when most people have gone. Any time the beach is large enough for you , enjoy yourself

Beautiful and very quiet part of Northumberland. The North beach parking at the golf course can get busy and you have to pay for parking, the South Beach is free parking, however the road to this part is diabolical and totally destroyed. Its more a gravel road with very big pot holes everywhere. I drive a 4×4 which is high off the ground so have no problems, but I’ve seen normal road cars get damaged as they don’t have the ground clearance to clear the massive holes in the road. However, if you do navigate your way through this minefield of a road, you will be welcomed to the best beach in the North East by a long shot. Alnmouth village its self is a spectacular little village with some awesome pubs for real ale, and awesome cafes for good tea and coffee and of course good scones and cakes. Great day out in general.

Just a quick reference to the above mentioned car park: you can no longer use it. The council have put up 2 wooden barriers to stop cars from venturing down to that car park. Which is a shame as its the best location for the beach and generally quiet. People are now parking along the main road and walking down to that stretch of beach. To which the council has now made that stretch of road dangerous.

Absolutely love, love, loved this beach. Miles of beach, unspoilt, practically deserted, although plenty of people walking up and down. Very clean. Nature reserve. Highly recommend if you want a long,, healthy stroll. But….. Don’t let everyone know…. The Northumbrian coast is a hidden gem which is best kept hidden!!

A wonderful beach for a family visit. Lots of good sandy places for building castles, rock pools for looking for creatures, plenty of cafes to pick up ice-cream, hot chocolate or something more substantial. Will definitely return.

Rocky coal beach, lovely little stretch of beach on otherside of Newbiggin golf course.
A lot of history to feel between your toes!
