It is up north so it is cold no matter when you come but still a beautiful beach!

Fantastic place to walk on the rocky beach (if there is a low tide) in search of various seashells. The location of this place is great because of the cliffs surrounding it. Walking around the village is an adventure with those narrow streets and beautiful houses. The pearl of the east coast!

July 2022. Being a sweltering summer weekday I decided to go Robin Hood’s Bay. It’s alright, although small and not very much there. Beach itself wasn’t impressive. To rocky for my liking.
Far better sandy beaches nearby. Will be exploring more seasides in future. Since this place was a bit of a let down, I decided to trek to Whitby by the Cleveland Way footpath, along the cliff’s top. The sign posts say it’s 6 1/2 miles, but it’s more like 9 miles (or so it felt 😮‍💨). Amazing views of cliffs, sea and expansive fields with cattle. Five stars for that part. It’s a hike though going up and down various hilly sections. I don’t like heights and I forced myself to do it as I know it’s good for mental resilience. I recommed doing something similar. Go out and challenge yourself even if it’s scary. You will feel a sense of pride and achievement once done!

Picturesque seaside village, lovely beach, plenty of places to eat, public toilets and some nice shops. I’d make sure that you get there early because parking spaces are soon filled up (Two car parks one is considerably bigger than the other. Some steep slopes if you are out and about in a wheelchair.

A beautiful beach located in a pretty, bustling little village in the heart of Yorkshire. The views are stunning, the beach is glorious and the facilities are great. There are a wide range of local shops, restaurants, pubs and B&Bs which all looked fantastic. The only downside of this beach is you have to park at the top of the hill in the village and walk down, but it is most definitely with the short but steep walk. One of the nicest beaches I’ve ever visited.

Visited early December so pretty much closed down apart from a small convenience store. The Laurel pub opens at 4pm. Very quaint place with tight rambling cobbled alleys.A smuggling hotspot in the 18th century.I should Imagine this place would be chaos at the height of summer. There are 2 car parks. But definitely worth the visit as the location Is stunning.
