Service is fantastic. Outdoor pool is great for lounging and people watching. Outdoor cinema area is an absolute vibe. Beds were comfy and shower had great pressure. Room had some peeling paint in the bathroom as well as scratches on furniture and dust in some areas. What I don’t understand is why I had to spend $32 for a breakfast buffet…where’s the continental breakfast? Really? $500/night and I still have to pay for breakfast? Also, I was given a piece of paper with various things that were included with my stay. One of which was $10 off at Sally’s Seafood…they didn’t take the $10 off our bill despite reminding the staff 3x, so we just left. Top of the Hyatt restaurant/bar had insane pricing on everything. I would stay here again if I were to have a solid discount, but other than that it’s just not worth the pricing. Still had fun though. Huge thank you to the kind staff that helped to make my stay a good one.By Scott Gale (2 months ago)A great place in San Diego, CA to host and run a conference/seminar, now that CA is more open to in-person events. This hotel is big enough to host all participants and it is conveniently located near the airport and downtown San Diego. It has beautiful scenery and located next to the docks and piers. There are a lot of walkways next to the water and you can walk to most places to eat. The rooms are well kept and the staff, at all levels, are friendly. The cleaning staff said “good morning” to me every day. I did not eat in at the restaurant or bar, but the bar area and drinks were nice. The on-site Starbucks was convenient, but very busy most all the time. The lobby is impressive and bustling. The conference rooms and ball rooms are nice, and the food provided was pretty nice. It was nice to be located in the same building as my conference. It made everything extremely efficient.By Ironman Triathlete (6 months ago)This week long hotel stay was great for my family. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and quiet. My kids really loved the pool. It was 3 feet deep which was great for my new swimmer. The Market One food in the lobby saved us so many times! We were too tired to go out for food, so we had a lot of meals there. The options are healthy and tasty, but a little pricey. We treated ourselves for sure! Parking was a little tight and expensive, but I appreciate that they have the garage at all. It would be a nightmare trying to find parking anywhere else. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to others.By Jamie Thill (5 months ago)My husband and I’ve stayed at this Hyatt several times and have enjoyed my stays, I will bring my family to this hotel this weekend.
The Grand Hyatt was a perfect hotel to stay at. It’s right on the water in downtown San Diego and is within walking distance of anything you could possibly want to do in the area.
Hotel staffs are warm and welcoming. Rooms are nice, clean and nice view. Beds are comfortable. The line to the front desk was extremely long, if you can use a global list line it doesn’t matter.By Rachel Kim (3 months ago)Such a beautiful hotel that is so well laid out. I was here for a conference and all of the staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. There are a million restaurants and shops directly around the hotel, as well as some that are inside. All the food is amazing and prices were better than I expected. The rooms have amazing views and were incredibly clean. If I’m ever in San Diego again, I will absolutely stay here again!By Tabitha Burt (2 months ago)

Wry clean hotel. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Several amenities in the hotel. If lucky and able to get a room up high facing north, the pictures show the view. Just spectacular. Service was excellent. The hotel is outside the really busy downtown area, which may be good or bad depending on what one wants to do. Nonetheless, it is next to a long walkway facing the marina and many restaurants, which is great. Will recommend for anyone looking for a nice and well located place.By Manuel Navedo (2 months ago)It is hard to beat the location of the hotel. Right at the waterfront, with a spectacular view all around. The hotel looks new, well maintained. The rooms are a good size, quite. The beds feels old, mine were slanted. My one complaint was the shower is slow, and it takes a while to finish. The AC on the other hand works perfectly.
The team running the hotel is great.
By Mini Rag (7 months ago)A couple shots of and from the place. But this was probably one of the most convenient hotels I’ve ever stayed in. You’re able to walk to and from very easily and they have a bunch of great food and drink options right at the hotel. One weird thing was, water was not free unless you bring an empty water bottle and use one of their refill stations near the bathrooms on the main level but they do not provide water in the rooms.Other than that it’s a great place to stay. The pool was great and all the food we had “on campus” was delicious, especially for a hotel. There is a daily destination fee that they charge but that provides you a $15 credit that can be used at the hotels restaurants and convenience store. It also include a free 1 hour bike or kayak rental from the place a few minutes down the boardwalk. AND a daily free shuttle ride to and from Coronado Beach
By John S (3 months ago)Very nice clean hotel. The bed was very comfy. I loved the pool and elevators. AC worked really well. Good walking distance to Gaslamp Quarter and stadium. The only down side was all the additional fees I had to pay. There is a fee for parking at hotel you already pay a good amount of money to stay at, the parking should be included with your stay.By Eva Garcia (3 months ago)A lot nicer than the last time I was here. The hotel feels updated and the staff were friendly. It is only really close to the ballpark and even that is a 5 min walk at a brisk pace. Great view of the bay. The pool area is small and uninteresting but there are nice views from restaurants. Depending on room cost this could be a great place.By Eric Schuster (3 months ago)

Amazing hotel. Beautiful harbor views, attentive staff, and great location! You must request house keeping upon check in if your desire the service, which I did. The break buffet is delicious but pricey so when traveling with a family, you may want to look into other options. There are plenty of restaurant selections within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel feels like you are on a resort with all of the amenities of being downtown. We will be returning…it was a great stay.By Ayana Dillard (2 months ago)A great experience during a conference with over 1000 people. Rooms were very clean and with great views. Amenities plentiful, and very nice, the gym was one off my favorites since it included so much equipment. Nice restaurants right inside, along with a large pool, mini convenience store, and Starbucks. It’s super conveniently located to so many nice areas, both within a walking distance or a short drive. Staff checking in was very friendly and the value for what you get is certainly there. Considering our conference made it very busy, everything went very well and was very organized.By Diana Patterson (2 months ago)Great location for attending conferences at San Diego Convention Center. Convenient to Seaport Village and harbor activities. Nice view from room. I recommend rooms that face the harbor as the street side can be noisy if you’re a light sleeper. As for service, the staff were very good except for when I asked that the dirty a/c filter be changed in the room on Saturday and had to ask again on Monday when it was finally done.By Bill B. (6 months ago)Our stay at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina was outstanding!!!!! We received the best service we have ever received at a hotel. Our Bell Captain, Mike, was especially awesome. He treated us like royalty and made the stay extra special. The room had a great view and was very spacious. Everything far exceeded our expectations. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
You can’t go wrong here. Would highly recommend!!!!!!By Greg Baker (3 months ago)The rooms are very nice. Balcony was lovely. I had city view, it was beautiful, especially at night. Pool is heated and plenty of lounge chairs! The pool area really makes you feel like you’re on vacation. Plenty of places to sit and relax around the hotel indoors and outdoors. Bad things- car parking is underground and very far, city is LOUD and could not sleep due to train warning bells/chime “DING-DING-DING-DING!! ” The elevators were hard to catch, or they were FULL of people. Overall I do recommend this place for the pool and close walking distance to everything.By Ms. Márquez (4 months ago)

We just spent our honeymoon at this lovely resort. From the moment we walked in, we knew we made the right choice! Friendly staff, spacious rooms with private balconies and awesome views! Underground parking was great! Property kept really clean! The Sea Spa offered a couples massage and it was also top notch! The Cays Lounge offered great service (even had Heineken 0.0) and live music was definitely a plus! We will definitely be back!By Ellyn Taff (5 months ago)Major props to Alex at the front desk for an amazing welcome and check-in experience. He was so helpful and cheery! The room had an amazing view, and we spent a lot of time on the balcony looking at the great sea view. The cleaning crew is very wonderful and warm, attentive at their job too. The stay itself exceeded our expectations. Also enjoyed interacting with the porters/valets at the main entrance of the hotels, they give good directions! Our only complaint would be the expensive self-parking fee. Overall, amazing stay!By Mia Lee (5 months ago)Gorgeous resort on the water in San Diego. Beautiful place to get married. The waterfront rooms have lovely views and are very spacious. There is a lovely area called the point near the boats/docks with a nice arch that can be decorated for a wedding. There’s nice hangout areas all around the resort. Parking is all around the room area, kind of like a ring road. There is also underground parking. The lobby is vast and pretty. Staff are nice.By Marta Borowska (3 months ago)Check in & check out was a breeze.. everyone was very friendly. The views from all around the hotel were beautiful! Our room & our bathroom were both very spacious & the view of the bay from our balcony was exceptional! We had breakfast & dinner at the hotel restaurant & both were really good! We noticed the attention to cleanliness all throughout the hotel.. the floors were always being cleaned, as well as the tables, chairs, & booths in the lobby, bar area, & outdoor spaces. We would definitely recommend staying here!By Patti Greenberg (5 months ago)Room was nice – large & clean.
Water took a good 5 minutes to heat up in shower 1 day.
View no matter rooms I was in (friends on various floors and sides) were nice.
Check in and out was great and easy.
Staffing for & lunch options were constrained based on the number of people at hotel for conferences.
Shuttle to hit downtown Coronado is easy & convenient.By Nik M (2 weeks ago)

Staff is amazing and down to earth if you allow them to be. Otherwise they are just professional and follow through with their jobs.
The rooms in the cabana are beautifully done. Very put together. Well worth the pricing.
The restaurants are delicious and pricey! But again delicious, the service was great. Staff, fun and attentive.
The location is perfect. Parking easy, view amazing. The Hilton Hotel Del made our couple days here magical. Thank you.
It’s a beautiful castle by the sea on one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. The hotel is historic and elegant. Luxurious and modern. Fantastic staff and guest service. Great location. I’m looking forward to staying there again. Obviously, I highly recommend. Get an ocean view room. Worth every penny.
This hotel has two parts, the original historic building and the new part. We stayed in both parts. They did a great job preserving the historical part of the hotel. However the rooms in the old part are just too historical and old for my taste. I even jokingly said they smelled historical because you literally needed to air the strange smell out. The carpets and furnishing were all too old and worn out for me. Old building I can only give it 3.5 stars. After we moved to the Cabana View, it was day and night. Everything was brighter and moderner and cleaner. You definitely should book a room in the new building, preferably an ocean facing one while enjoying the historical common spaces in the old one. The new building deserves 5 stars. The grounds are nice and the service level is high compared to the one we stayed in Santa Barbara. This hotel is super busy in the high season. If you don’t like the crowd, try to avoid the busy season. I am sure the experience would be a lot less hectic.
Have always wanted to stay here and finally was able to. A most enjoyable experience! Loved the ambiance of the place. Right on the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had the 2 queen with partial ocean view at the Victorian and absolutely loved it!
What an amazing experience! I came to a conference here and wanted to stay forever! The 4 stars on the room is simply age of the resort, but the rooms are very clean. The PEOPLE ARE AMAZING. This is quite simply the nicest staff that you can ever meet! Very professional and friendly! The restaurants are all great, the beach is immaculate and the town is a place to never leave. If you have the ability, you must go and bring the family!!
