Truly amazing experience of Lighthouse Point Park. Usually during the summer visiting this park is $10 per car but I visited in late October, entry was totally free. Sunset from this lighthouse park is amazing. You can easily spend two to three hours walking on the beach, taking pictures and lighthouse provides good photo opportunities. Please be careful when walking on the Jetty, rocks were slippery. Some boulders were granite which may have transported from somewhere else. Its worth it if you are gonna spend the day, because it’s not as crowded as other beaches (we went mid August)
We just wanted to see the lighthouse and walk on the rocks, so the price was disappointing.

Super awesome park with great hikes! I took advantage of the unseasonably warm fall days to take my pup up for a hike. I did the ‘4 peaks’ hike and it didn’t disappoint! Great views at all the peaks and it was more challenging than expected!! Take the Old English road so you can use the giant steps trail to reach the top. I love going to museums and when they are free, that’s the best. Well I gotta say that this might be the best one I’ve ever been to. I was not honestly expecting much but I made the day trip up from NYC and I just loved it. The art on display is amazing. You can really get lost in everything that they have to offer.
Parking wasn’t too hard to get on a Sunday. And the staff was very friendly. They do have lockers for your stuff so that was helpful. The only thing that they didn’t have was any kind of gift shop because I collect magnets from my trip and they didn’t have anything to add to my collection.

PEZ museum I call it?It has a cool history and displays of cute PEZ dispensers from way back when. Kids will definitely have fun here. Even adults will have a blast walking down memory lane. $5 admission fee with $2 store credit which I think is very reasonable and worth it. There’s a bingo game, almost like treasure hunting where you have to find the PEZ character and write down the year until you get a bingo and win a PEZ dispenser. The factory did not operate when we visited on a Saturday. I didn’t get to ask why but someone who gave a review here said they don’t operate on weekends. Just verify that info before you go if you’re interested to see the factory at work. We were content watching the video. The day that I went they were not making any of the candy but I can imagine that when they are it’s a lot of fun. They have a great collection of different PEZ dispensers for you to see which is kinda cool. And of course you can buy many new ones.

The visitor center taught me the history of PEZ and displayed many of the PEZ dispensers that were created over the years. There were so many more than I ever thought existed. I loved seeing PEZ dispensers on display of my favorite sports teams and favorite pop culture icons/characters. Also, there was a shop where you could find a lot PEZ dispensers that you don’t normally see in stores. Overall, I loved visiting and would recommend.Viewing the entire museum would only take about one hour of your day.

While it was small there was a lot to take in. We came in not knowing too much about Pez and left as huge fans with 7 more dispensers to add to the collection. We have been to green park opposite to Yale. It was cool during the snow time . Beautiful place and olden architectural design around
A large park smack-dab in the middle of New Haven with plenty of green space, sitting areas, walking paths, and bus stops! There’s also plenty of parking surrounding the green and nearby. There’s also tons of shops and restaurants around, should you need a change of scenery! The Green’s especially beautiful when the Cherry Blossoms bloom! Lots of lively people around too!
Really nice open space in the middle of downtown. Lots of events here to enjoy throughout the year. Lots of shops around and plenty of restaurants to explore.the park is kept quite clean and benches are easily found to rest at. It’s quieter on the College St. side, but there is less sunshine due to more trees. Give and take the good for the bad. Like in life…there is always a trade off.
Only downside is the homeless community that stays around the park and it will keep you on alert unfortunately. Sometimes interfering with your alone time. If you are looking for a quiet park, this is not the park to sit at. There seems to always be something going on.
The New Haven Green is beautiful with a rich and long history. I live about 5 blocks away and love going to the yearly Arts & Ideas festival they have on the green in addition to the yearly Christmas tree lighting ceremony. I will say the green can also be a semi-dangerous area as well (to be expected in a downtown city) but the two sides of the green that serve as bus stations/stops can be a “hot-spot”. But when there’s planned events there it is very safe as the NHPD are always present.
Nice and green, surrounded by beautiful buildings of Yale university. Students from different age, race keeps the place vibrant.
