Pretty fun! I think it’s a great place to experience maybe once. If with small children, maybe more fun but it’s a once and done kind of thing for me personally. The park was very cool and fun to walk through! Attractions and rides were mostly visual ones, where you sit and it virtually takes you through a ride – so it’s not like a normal park with big, outlandish rides. Very family friendly and not bad for an amusement park overall. Would recommend especially if you have younger children!By Maurielle C (10 months ago)Very expensive but a very special place. Myself and my daughter loved every minutes of it.
A few tips for those thinking of traveling:
1. Bring your own food and snacks to the park with you. At the time of writing, a 500ml bottle of water was $5.50
2. If you know in advance you will be getting photos within the park (3 or more), consider purchasing the photo pass
3. If your budget permits, purchase Express pass tickets before you travel. I purchased 2, 5 day express pass tickets (which included entry to the park) for $760 each. You will save a lot of time accessing rides using these
4. Purchase a neck fan. You won’t regret it
5. If you suffer from chafing, get yourself some cycle shorts before you go. These were a game changer ?I’m sure there is more but these would be my go too if I was to travel there again.
By david mcelligott (3 months ago)Okay, let’s admit it you are going to go here regardless of how many stars this is rated. But I need to be honest. There is the endless walk from the car to the actual park. Then you spend half your day waiting in lines. That is unless you buy the express pass on top of the already insanely priced ticket price. We enjoyed taking it slow. This does not mean we did not get annoyed at times.
It is Florida. It is hot. Don’t forget your sunscreen. I can’t tell you how many people were hurting with sunburns. Also, it rains. When it does, some rides shut down. They shutdown even when you think they shouldn’t. Your opinion of rain does not matter. This can be frustrating when there is a 60 minute wait and you are 45 minutes into the wait!
Some lockers are free, some are not. The ones for the water rides are NOT!
Everything is expensive, but the water fill ups are free.
BONUS!!!! You can find gluten and dairy free options in many of the restaurants. Just ask. It is best to get to the restaurant before the crowds so you can ask for their options.
By Deborah Shepherd (6 months ago)We had the most awesome time! We will def be back next year, maybe even a 2 day ticket! Love the shade they have for when you need it and wait lines are somewhat short and are shaded or air conditioned. Parking was a breeze and not a far walk either. So many great attractions and shops. This place really was fun for our whole familyBy Shell Keller (2 months ago)A very entertaining theme park with characters and shows from some of the most popular big screen to small screen favorites. Excellent entertainment for families with younger children. And they do have a great coaster that is absolutely awesome. Entry is very expensive at the gates so please make sure to buy tickets beforehand. Food and drink is very affordable inside with great fast and friendly service. All staff inside is always extremely helpfull, friendly and a pleasure to deal with and will make your day better.By L Lander (in the last week)

This place was amazing! Could very well be my favorite amusement park. The variety of things to do makes it a perfect spot for the roller coaster riding thrill seeker, as well as the laid back admirers of sea animals. This place is essentially a zoo for sea faring animals and it does a great job at letting you interact with these beautiful creatures. Feeding the seals and sea lions was one of my favorite activities. There are enough eateries to satisfy the pickiest eater, and if you’re really making a full day of it, the all day eating pass is a nice option. With so many photogenic attractions, this is a great place to create some lifelong memories with the family!By Jonathan Chambliss (a week ago)The shows here are very good. Dolphins, Killer Whales, & Sea Lion shows were very informative & action packed shows. Definitely recommend getting to the shows at least 30 minutes before start time to get a decent seat.
Lines for everything is crazy. 1-2 hour lines for food, popular roller coasters, & of course entering the parking lot. As others suggested, definitely eat a big breakfast to power through the first few hours at this park as outside food is strictly prohibited besides bottled water. Otherwise, if you get here early try to order food upon entering before the lines get crazy in the early afternoon.
One of my favorite exhibits was the penguin experience. Tip, try going towards the park closing as the regular line was only 15 minutes to get in, not bad.
Good luck, and enjoy.
By Alex L. (10 months ago)Love this park. Wholesome fun for everyone one. From myself the adult to my youngest there was fun activities for everyone. My young adults and teenagers were roaming around together doing all the thrill rides and I was able to take my 8 year old to Sesame World were she had the time of her life. We have a fun pass and it allowed us to go to the park more than once. This was by far the nest weekend break in Orlando.By Valerie Laveus (6 months ago)I’m not an animal person and didn’t really care to experience this park buy I am pleasantly surprised. The park was clean and the animal encounters and shows were amazing. All staff were friendly and willing to help if you had a question.
Overall, customer service was excellent, the place was clean, they gave you a paper map then there were maps everywhere.
The animals look healthy and happy. The employees look happy which made them give excellent service. I went twice in my 1 week trip.By Alicia Palmer (3 months ago)Myself and my children enjoyed SeaWorld. I didn’t expect roller coasters and cool rides! It shocked us. We enjoyed the dolphin up close experience. We wanted to do the swim with dolphins opportunity but it was sold out. I recommend getting the swim with dolphin experience purchased way in advanced. To my surprise the pictures taken at the dolphin experience was not included in the high price of the experience. It should be included. I spent over $207.00 for all three of us including the park tickets. It was really disappointing to have to buy the pictures on top of that. We also purchased the all you can eat tickets. I think that we shouldn’t have to wait 90 minutes per meal to eat again. If it’s going to be like that then we should get larger portions for the meals.
The exhibits were fun and shows were packed and awesome!!!!! We got there early and left late! It will be something to remember for a lifetime!

Great place to get pictures by the iconic universal globe and many other uniquely themed attractions like the hard Rock Cafe and the chocolate factory.
It was nice that the central location was easy to get to and free to explore.
I went to an event at the hard Rock Cafe and it was absolutely awesome.
We also had some chocolate at the chocolate factory.
Make sure to take the water taxi to one of the hotels, even if it’s just to look around and ride back on the next water taxi.
By A. J. (4 months ago)Great area for overpriced merchandise and food shopping. It’s a nice area to walk around before or after going to Universal. They have lots of options to eat and shop. They also have what looks like a great place to play mini golf and go to the movies. The area is only free for parking after a certain time of the day if you just wanted to go to City Walk then go when it’s free to park. It has great views and it decorated nicely especially around the holidays.By Mary C (in the last week)Quick update ! I thought it is free to park here after 6 pm through out the year ! But it is not what I thought ! If you visit this place September through October , it is not free to park here ! It is 27 dollar parking fee! If you come here after midnight , it is free !Personally I don’t think it is worthy to visit the universal city walk just for 27 dollars . There are not much to see there ! Unless you wanna get into the Disney park for 109 dollar per adult ! you will spend more money purchase more expensive drink and food in this “city”! ( they don’t let you take in any food and drink , you have to buy food and drink after you get in there )!
Just wait for the free parking after 6 pm. Timing of the year , I think that is a good time to take a look at the city and save yourself 27 dollar !
I hope this review helps someone get better idea of this place !
By Justin S. (2 months ago)When you come here there isn’t much going on, just a average shopping/grills and bars. But the food is just amazing here, and great place to take pictures here. The funny part is that you can basically walk up to the “universe studios” world sign and post it online and say “I’ve been to universal” even though you just took a picture right outside of it.By Villarreal Jayden (6 months ago)More of an adult life after hours when it gets dark. But beautiful at night nonetheless. If you’re looking for nightlife and kid free, this is the place to be. We were on our way out of the park and got some cool pictures.By Scull YouTube (4 months ago)

By david mcelligott (3 months ago)I’ve never had so much fun in my life! Two days full of adrenaline, happiness, wildness and joy! Island of Adventure has it all! I recommend a Park-to-Park ticket and take advantage of it during the week. This resort will enjoy both child and adult! Thank you for an exceptional experience!By Martin Vanta (7 months ago)Love this place! Fast pass done right. Real rides and roller-coasters. My kids loved this park best out of Universal Studios and Disney Magic Kingdom. Disney needs to redo their fast pass. As it is right now I would say not worth the money. Universal fast pass is definitely worth the money. Would we go back? Yes we would.By Lorin Devries (3 months ago)Great experience! I actually found that i liked it better than Universal Studios. Islands of adventure have more extreme rides and adult rides which i found way more fun. Also, i really recommend to buy the express pass, it might cost twice to three time the ticket. BUT I was able to do all the rides I wanted and all the most popular ones (i did like 7-8 rides) from 10:00AM to 3:30PM. That would be impossible without the express pass..By Gev Elbaz (a month ago)If you’re trying to choose Disney vs. Universal, definitely go Universal!! We decided to purchase the express pass which made everything so much better! We were able to ride every single ride and still had time to do some shopping, eating, watch some shows, and take some pictures around the park!
The place definitely gets crowded so I would recommend getting there as early as possible. Also love that it’s a parking garage and not open parking like at Disney! This park definitely caters to older kids as they have more rollercoasters. So if you have tiny, tiny ones, you probably want to go the Disney route. But in my Opinion, Universal has made it to where everything runs a lot smoother, even with the big crowds! One of the biggest things that is a plus for me, there are a lot more trees and shaded areas at universal, especially when standing line. And with this summer heat, that makes a huge difference!!
Would definitely come here all the time if I lived in Florida!By Edith Rosas (5 months ago)

Although Orlando FL is a large state with many amazing places to visit, these 15 locations stand out as the best according to traveler ratings and reviews. Did your favorite spot make the cut? Let us know in the comments above!
This is one of my very favorite theme parks. Islands of adventure is also a must. Restrooms are clean and stocked, restaurants are always fresh and delicious. Staff is always friendly. Especially when you are purchasing the tickets in the very beginning. Plenty of fans and misting Stations to keep you cool while you wait for the rides… This park always makes you feel like you’re part of the movies. It takes more than just one day to cover everything. Maybe give Disney a break and try Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for your next vacation destination.
Perhaps this place is better when you don’t go in the summer, but my visit being in the summer, I couldn’t possibly have been satisfied with the volume of crowds. We had to wait up to 2 hours to get on a ride, which took 2 minutes tops. Yes, the rides are spectacular, but having spent 10 hours in the park we only managed to squeeze in 5 rides. And the price? Not worth it. I can think of far better ways to spend money
Such a great place to visit. Regardless if you have a quick pass or not expect to wait in long lines.
Remember- sunscreen, a towel, bottle water, stay hydrated. Get the refillable Coke (it’s the best value you’ll find!) They are all over the park can’t miss ’em.
Having an idea of what you want to see and ride and help map out your day(s) better. You don’t want to rush all day, that’s not fun.
Very expensive but a very special place. Myself and my daughter loved every minutes of it.

We had a great time here at Universal Orlando, and it didn’t take long to enter as we had purchased the tickets in advance. Love the aesthetics in the park. One thing I was not a fan of, and likely just myself, is how much screens and projections were used here in the shows and rides. For myself I quite enjoyed the rides and shows at Disney more for that reason. But other than that the experience was good, and would definitely recommend.
