It was my first time visiting Tulsa Zoo & I would definitely recommend it.
We visited on a Sunday and arrived about 11 am.
The wait time to purchase tickets at the gate was a bit long. We purchased the majority our tickets online, but we needed to purchase 4 more at the gate. Our wait time to purchase tickets at the gate was about 15-20 minutes.
The line for members & online tickets moves much faster!
We enjoyed all the exhibits & park…especially the Dinosaur Exhibit!
The Dinosaur Exhibit is a temporary exhibit through the end of summer 2022. There is an additional cost to enter.
My only reason for 4 star review is restroom cleanliness. I’m happy they take such good care of the animals, exhibits, habitats and grounds but the restrooms need more frequent cleaning.

It’s become our favorite family tradition! My daughter loves seeing the moneys and goats. The updated playground can keep her entertained for hours, if we let her stay that long. The staff is always so nice and welcoming to us and every guest. The animals seem very content, happy, and well taken care of. Cute little train does a loop around, and can catch it halfway if your’re tired and need a lift back to the front. It drops you off right by the carousel. Plenty of cool indoor exhibits as well. Been to many across the U.S. and this is a favorite. Our visit was over Thanksgiving week so the zoo had already switched over to it’s winter displaying of animals. Some were inside and not able to be seen outside but it didn’t effect the experience. This zoo is laid out extremely well. The course you follow wound through so many interesting sights that it didn’t seem long or tiring, even for an old man like me. My two grandsons, ages 8 and 3, had a blast. There is a very good and fairly large playground near the middle of the journey so adults can sit and rest while the kidos burn off energy. Great idea. Price was right. Not too crowded. We visited here after having dinner one night after someone in our party mentioned reading about it online. It was actually very cool. It’s like you are standing there in front of an open mic talking or singing. What’s even more crazy is when we tried to record it with our phones, it didn’t sound like the echo, it was normal. But you can definitely tell the difference. There was several people out walking around for it to be close to 9:30pm, and yes there was a few homeless people amongst those. None of them came up to us or bothered us in any way, so we just kept to ourselves as well. The kids had fun with the echos. They also had fun with the light up bricks surrounding the echo circle. Not all of them light up but they had a good time stomping them to see which ones worked. I really enjoy coming out to this place and just getting out. Plenty of options for the kids, jogging trail, and good walking the dogs. Located by lots of shopping and dining. If you are lucky you will be able to catch the ducks at the pond and feed them. The golf course is another added bonus for you golfers out there. Definitely a park to check out.By Jay Way (a month ago)Great park and walking trail! The kid playgrounds are very well shaded and close to the parking lot. The walking trail around the playgrounds and golf course is 3 miles. A warning: the walking trail is not shaded and it is asphalt so if it is hot and humid take precautions. And if you walk a mile and a half you are in it for the full 3 miles. You cannot cut across the golf course. We have found that in the heat we like to park near the kid parks where there is shade and walk to the 1.25 mile marker (yes, there are very visible mile markers) and then turn back. You quite literally cannot find a place with cheaper range balls in all of Tulsa, and they let you hit off grass! As shown in the photos, they have a great facility if you are trying to improve upon your short game.
The par 3 is awesome and lit up so you can play at night. It’s also 18 holes which is way better than those 9 hole par 3 courses.
I’d recommend this golf course to anyone in the Tulsa area!

There is areas with benches to sit down and relax. Like I said there is bathrooms. The place over all its pretty clean. I didnt see any maintenance people but it was pretty clean. The playground its huge and safe they have a foamy like mat that protects kids in case they fall. There is circuit for runing or ridding your bike. Lots of beautiful trees. Very nice view everywhere. Beautiful mansion home that was once owned by the family that founded Phillips gasoline stations. Today the museum is a curated collection of art ranging from native American to American landscapes European and modern. The highlight for us though was wandering the grounds in the beautiful manicured Gardens and fountains right outside the mansion. Works of art from many different time periods, regions, genre…the house itself has amazing architecture and is art in itself. The gardens have plenty to explore and there are hands on crafts and activities for children as well.
Plan on being here for 3-4 hours easily and you will still feel like you haven’t seen everything.

Amid sculptures are a broad variety of decorative plant life, all of it fitted expertly into a compelling landscape design. The art museum itself is housed in the stunning former home of oilman Waite Phillips, who built an Italian Renaissance style palace in the late 1920s (a wing was added in 1990 to create larger gallery space). The grounds are regal, playful and whimsical and each area is a completely different theme. The stained glass house, and victory garden were delightful. The architecture is beautiful and the historic sculptures that are part of the building are evocative. The basements pottery collection and the Egyptian room brought me back to visits to Egypt and Arizona and New Mexico’s indigenous regions. So much history and beautiful art! There is nothing else like it! I took my mom who is from out of town. We spent about 45 minutes in the lodge alone. It is spectacular. All of the natural elements, the wood, rock, expanses of glass that make you feel like you are still in the outdoors, it lifts my soul. We walked through the playgrounds and the vast variety, that also serve as art pieces, are simply awe inspiring and such a treat for the imagination of a child. We made it as far as the boat house and the quirky museum inside. We spent quite a bit of time in that small space. There is so much to look at. If you look long enough you will find another oddity or something that reminds you of your childhood. We only made it through a fraction of the park in the few hours we were there. We will have to return for more exploring.
Very nice place. Everyone I talked to agreed with that. Lots of kids there. You can easily spend a whole day there. The playgrounds are amazing. Even the boats are free! Very well managed and organized. Since it’s relatively new, not sure if this place can continue to be great once initial funding/grants run out.
A wooden playground Paradise with Magnificent bathrooms
Gathering places that series a fun playground areas made out of wood and metal it’s interesting and unique for kids of all ages. From the zip line to the multi story castle you can spend hours at this place and keep even the youngest kids attention.
And did I miss in the bathrooms? Right in the center there’s a huge section of family bathrooms that are clean! They are literally the cleanest public bathrooms you will ever find at a park. In fact the staff that keeps this Park immaculate was doing a great job even when the temperatures for over 100°.

Today was the perfect weather to go to the Gathering Place. They currently have their boats out to rent and paddle around the pond!
The architecture is so stunning! We love going to play on the playgrounds and walk the trails. There are lots of water fountains and benches for when you get tired or need some water. There are multiple playgrounds for different recommend age groups, so there is something for the whole family to enjoy!
There is a cafe with food options as well as beverages for adults. The ice cream in the parlor is delicious and creamy! There are bathrooms located in all buildings and around the main playground area.
I highly recommend going here as a family, by yourself, with friends, even a date night would be nice here!
This park is very impressive. There are numerous playgrounds for all different age ranges within the park. Maybe a dozen or so. The architecture of the playgrounds and the buildings are all very obviously custom made and artistically interesting to look at. This is not your average park. $465 million went into this park and it shows. No detail, however small, was overlooked. The museum was very cool and well designed. It sounds crazy and cliche, but words don’t do this place justice. You have to see it to understand how amazing it is. All ages will enjoy this, kids and adults alike. Definitely worth seeing if you’re in the area and have a couple hours to kill.
