They need to work on their Customer service and not close the store almost an hour before closing time on their website and GMB page.By FX Glamour (3 months ago)Yall shal update bussiness hours on the website!! Store had closed 2 minutes after i got there and the woman couldnt make an exeption on the return. We go based on the hours in their site!! When we work late and go tonwork early its hard.By Judith Segovia (5 months ago)Beyond rude hours are not updated had to pick up an online order which stated ready for pick up doors were locked at 4:50 when sign clearly said 5pm Francis who stated she was the manager had no customer service skills what so ever could have cared less and basically told myself and another customer that we were out of luck and would have to come back instead of just giving us our orders that had already been paid for not even an apology for the inconvenience corporate has been notified and a case has been opened, people like this should not be employed at business’ especially when their laziness and incompetence is front and center. So many families had to figure out what to do all while trying to gather last minute school items.By Brandy Gonzalez (5 months ago)They lie about closing time it’s says 9pm they want to close at 8pm. They are real rude and unprofessional.By Brandy De Leon (5 months ago)Came at 8:35pm from out of town since it states online it is open until 9pm. I try to go in and it’s was locked. The women inside saw me but didn’t move. Then one women went and turned the lights out. No sign or anything saying they close early … nada. When I went to take a picture then they put a sign up. Didn’t even go up to see what it said. Very rude and lazy obviously. Don’t waste your time going to this location. Will be calling corporate tomorrow.By Jayla Rios (2 years ago)

The employees working here this morning seemed entitled, stuck up, and lacked basic customer service skills. They were working on something together when I approached the counter and did not hide the fact that they were annoyed and inconvenienced that they had to pause their project to assist me. They did not greet me, didn’t smile at me, didn’t thank me for my business. I’m not really expecting anything to change after this review since one of them seemed like she might’ve been the manager, but if you want to spend your money somewhere that you’re appreciated as a customer – don’t shop here.By Abbey Coger (3 months ago)I did a online order. Not only did they charge me, they canceled my order soon after. After a week, I still haven’t received my refund for the order. Customer service is horrible. If you are thinking about ordering, DON’T!By Lawanna Cox (4 months ago)Soooo…I planned to pick up my online order today and saw I had waited too long and had been refunded already. I decided to go anyway because I had used my Place Cash so I had gotten good prices on the clothing and didn’t want to lose it. When I saw the poor ratings I thought, well this isn’t going to happen but I had to go to the forum anyway. I walked in and the first worker greeted me as I walked in. This was already unlike all the reports I had read. I walk up to the register and tell the lady my problem and she was answering phones and helping me and apologizing while trying to multitask. I told her not to worry about it I was patient. I mentioned to her the poor ratings and she said she was new and all the staff was new also and they were turning things around there. She was able to find my order and give it to me at the price I originally paid. She was very helpful and very nice. I would have no problem shopping there again. I hope everyone will reconsider and try this store again. I had a very pleasant experience.By Shena Hernandez (3 years ago)Make sure you watch your receipts when purchasing at this store. I tried to return a pair of shoes that my son didn’t want. The manager was very unreasonable as she said the receipt had expired. She said i could only exchange for the exact pair but different size. I asked if I could just get store credit and I’d use it towards another purchase they said no. Mind you the shoe I was trying to return was still being sold at a regular price! I would’ve understood if they were now on clearance. Bad customer service and horrible policy.By Sandra C (2 years ago)This was my first and last time in this store. As many previous reviewers have stated, their customer service is not just lacking, but nonexistent. There was one customer and her small child when I walked in a little before noon and not one of the employees acknowledged me for nearly 45 minutes. They were on their phones constantly (had better places to be/better things to do besides be at work, apparently). I had my arms full of items with no basket available and nowhere to put them. Neither of the two employees offered me any assistance. When I finally went to check out, some of the pajamas on a rounder with a “$9.99 Sale” sign were ringing up wrong. I pointed this out and the employee corrected it. She had issues scanning my coupons and I was on a time crunch, so I asked for the items to be placed on hold so I could sort out the coupon issue (screenshot of coupons was unfortunately too blurry so I had to find the original email instead) and come back later to purchase them.
I went back approximately three hours later to find my items crammed on the back of the counter behind some boxes. The employee, ALAJAI, so graciously took the time to look up from texting on her cellphone, handed me my items, and asked me if I wanted to check out, then continued texting (wow, so sorry I interrupted your super important texts). Because I was trying to stick to a budget, I was not sure if I’d be able to purchase all the items so I asked her if it’d be easier to ring everything up then take a few things off if needed. She laughed out loud in my face and said it’d be too difficult with their system to do that. At this point, I just wanted to check out and get out of this ridiculous store, so I had her ring everything up. When she rang up my items, I noticed the pajamas previously marked down to $9.99 were now ringing up only 25% off. I looked at the rounders again to see they had changed the price since I was in the store not even three hours earlier. I asked her to honor the price they were when I originally came in as I find it extremely dishonorable to change the price knowing I was coming back for several items that were on sale in that category. She stated, “No, because you didn’t buy them earlier and we do mid-day price changes…” What on earth. Since when?! Today?! I requested to speak to a manager, (no, not because I am a ‘Karen,’ but because I was tired of dealing with her disgusting attitude and lack of care). She claimed she was a manager (WHAT?!?!) but that she would ask her coworker, who was also a manager (umm, ok). She stated the same thing, with an attitude as well (side note: I guess “bad attitude” is a requirement to work here for those who might be motivated to work here after reading this bright and shining review). I had enough of their BS so I requested to purchase my items and leave. I literally told her at this point that I did not appreciate her attitude. Somehow, she checked herself a little after that and offered me an additional coupon after I hit a certain price point, which helped combat the higher cost of the pajamas a little. I was ultimately able to use my coupons and military discount which helped too. However, I don’t honestly care how many points/rewards/bucks I earned from shopping in that store yesterday, I WILL NOT be back.
As someone who has worked in retail, I would NEVER treat someone the way I was treated today.TL/DR: What a joke of a store that makes me think poorly of the company too. Please do not waste your time and shop in this store/location. They do not deserve your business. If you must shop with this company, do so online where they offer free shipping and you don’t have to interact with their “too busy for you,” “cellphones over customers,” “could care less” employees (who all claim to be “managers”).

By far the WORST children’s place in San Antonio. Esme was the most unhelpful and rude person. She claimed she is the “manager” that’s hard to believe with how unwelcoming and unpleasant she is with absolutely no customer service skills and the ugliest demeanor. How do you work in retail and you have no customer service skills especially at a children’s store? That is so sad. Better off shopping at Alamo Ranch Children’s place. It’s a much bigger store plus the employees are polite and a lot more selection than sad little old Ingram children’s place. Hire better management that actually has customer service skills and takes pride in their job not some trash !!!By Angela Romo (2 months ago)Bought a pair of pants took them back with a receipt on hand. I just wanted a bigger size not the money. The tag was not attached to the jeans because I had accidentally ripped it off. Manager and older lady at the register were rude , rolling her eyes, refused to let me exchange it because the tag was not attached to the jeans. Looking at the reviews , it looks like this location has had so many complaints on management. Shop at your own risk. Horrible way to treat customers.By Jennifer Marin (3 weeks ago)The incompetency at this Children’s Place is scary! I visited this CP to exchange two pairs of pants for my toddler as this location had her size. I had my receipt from another CP for a previous exchange. Why this CP couldn’t read or understand the receipt? I literally had to point to the items on the receipt. The sad part is that the associate AND manager both had no clue. Shopping at the location is a major no no! Never again!By T Chappell (2 weeks ago)August 30, 2022 Cashier’s who sit viewing thier cell phones ignoring every one walking into the store! I asked for help she just 👉 somewhere over there JC penny got my money!By David Ancira (4 months ago)Nobody even opened the store. All lights off, locked doors, no signs saying why. Called other locations and they said Ingram location should have been opened already and they didn’t get any notice about them closing!
Edit: They finally opened 15 minutes late!By Jennifer Deleon (a year ago)

I went few weeks back to exchange few items for my daughter as they were too big for her. The manager and one of the cashier who was not even dealing with me started to argue, and was so rude and unprofessional. Her dress code was unprofessional. They were ready to fight. I will never go to children place anymore. I also advise all my friends and family not to go there. One day this place will be without customers with such employees and company policy for exchange.By Saba Channa (4 weeks ago)DO NOT go to this store the cashiers are very disrespectful, and they treat you very ugly, and the manager does not say anything to her employees!!By Carolina De leon (a month ago)If I could give this store NEGATIVE 5 stars I would. The cashiers are EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. Disrespected my husband military ID because he asked about a discount (which they do offer, and tried not to give it to him) when asked about a sale they said only “select merchandise” though the sign did not have fine print in the area I was looking at.By Kaytee Nault (a year ago)Seriously just trash customer service! I ordered clothes online and was told upon my arrival that they weren’t in stock. No accommodation were made to make it right, then I way over paid to get the same order in separates. I will not be shopping at this store again.By Gen Per (11 months ago)I have shopped at this store for many years (10+), and always left a satisfied customer! They use to have a great manager and excellent cashiers. but unfortunately I’m really sad to see this place really gone down lately. The line gets all the way to the fitting rooms, making the wait time ridiculous. They only have 2 cashiers open on a Saturday afternoon! To add to that that the place is a mess. Not at all what I expected from this place. I don’t look forward to coming back!By P M (3 years ago)

This company is awful. The product is great but their policies are a scam. I placed an order online and then called to see if I could get an ETA on my stuff, the girl I spoke to on the phone tells me the stuff I bought online is CHEAPER than the in store prices so if I wanted to make a return on the products and buy them in store they would probably be more expensive. Shop online from The Children’s Place guys. Then she tells me it takes three hours to process orders and they aren’t allowed to pack orders after four so why would the website allow me to place an order for same day in store pick up after a certain time? I know why, they assume people won’t go through the trouble of returning it because they already paid and they need the clothes. Wrong. I will be returning my order in full at the time of pick up. There are way too many options out there to have to put up with this.
Customer service here is a joke. I tried to return $25 pants that did not fit my daughter 1 day late and they pretty much told me I was out of luck. Alyssa the manager said I could look in clearance for her size in the same pants…of course they had none left. I told her I dont even want my cash back and I am willing to buy something else. She told me no because of COVID. OKAY…the reason you are not allowing me to do that is not due to COVID. If that was the case you would not accept ANY returns! I will spend my money elsewhere.
They have a pretty decent selection of children’s clothing. The prices aren’t too bad either.
It was woefully disorganized, the clothes were not segregated by age group or gender it was very difficult to find what you wanted but the prices were good(edit) the prices are NOT good, you almost get what you pay for. The jeans we bought didn’t even make it through the school year before the belt loops and pockets started tearing. The stitches held, the actual pants tore and considering the kid doesn’t wear a belt and carries nothing in his pockets, that is wholly unacceptable.
Employees (virtual and instore) were unhelpful and insensitive. Do not plan on shopping at the place online or in person ever again. They didn’t complete my order. Then hassled me when when I tried to do a return.
