Very lovely buffet. I have come back over and over. The staff is so friendly, I have always had a plesent time. They are very attentive to their guests and to the buffet, food is always being refilled. And there is a decent amount to choose from.By Brandy Wescott (9 months ago)Very unsatisfied!!!! Food was old sitting in steamers. Workers are very up tight. Rushing you to get food and eat and go. I have been to over 1000 places and this has been a very bad experience. UNFORTUNATELY I DON’T BELIEVE THIS REVIEW WILL BE HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY AND I HOPE OTHERS THAT GO TO LOTUS WILL REMEMBER THIS.
Definitely not Normal to eat and feel sick everytime we have eaten their. Party of 8 out of the 8. 8 of them we’re sick and disappointed
Cost was ridiculous. RECOMMEND if hungry or trying new food go someplace else or eat at home and prepare it your self. I hope this helps someone…..
By Matthew Miller (6 months ago)Meal was not as good as it use to be. Most of it was just like warm and anything with the chicken was over cooked. The beef tips with onions and peppers I found hair in it, not mine, it was black and I’m gray. Don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.By Debbie Prout (2 months ago)Great Food in a Chique upbeat atmosphere! Love that they Gong for your birthday! Friendly staff and delicious drinks! Would definitely return and recommend!By Orange Satyrsis (a month ago)I don’t believe I could ever run out of wonderful things to say about this place. I was brought here for the first time a few years ago and I have loved it ever since. Birthdays, holidays, random days, it’s always a good day to visit Lotus. The food has always been wonderful and the workers are top notch in a way I’ve never seen anywhere else. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, the food is always well done and well stocked, and they’re very diligent on keeping both the buffet and the dining area clean and neat as well as being attentive to the diner’s needs, even on busy days when they may be much more stretched thin. Only amazing things to say about Lotus.By Jess Sobey (a month ago)

Wow…this is an awesome local place that serves amazing local fresh seafood and mouth watering, fall off the bone ribs with crazy good BBQ sauce. And of course local brews on tap.
The haddock was unbelievably delicious…and the ribs were some of the best I have ever had.
Huge fan…can’t wait to come back and try more dishes.
By Thawn Lowing (a year ago)Best bacon cheeseburger I’ve ever had! My boyfriend had the mac and cheese and said it was delicious as well. The waitress was amazing! Extremely friendly and attentive. The restroom was clean and had easy access. But if you’re not careful you could end up in the way of the wait staff coming out of the kitchen with food. Otherwise, I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.By Adrienne Randall (Desrochers) (4 months ago)Met my granddaughter and her fiance for dinner before she has my great grandson this week and had a wonderful time. They took excellent care of us and the food was good. Very pleasant visit.By Jim McMichael (5 months ago)Food was amazing, portions were big and well worth the money. Prices were great. Service could not have been better, atmosphere is great. Highly recommend Mac’s GrillBy Roy Longhitano (7 months ago)I get the ribs and chili and put it together as bowl. So fire. I wish I could get pulled pork as a side because that would make it over the top. But it’s freaking amazing!!! St. Louis ribs, chili -must of won awards it’s crazy good. Not fatty St. Louis ribs. Perfect spice. It’s great! 10/10! Best part is I live two minutes away 🙂 locals do love it!!! ❤️By Vanessa (5 months ago)

Eventide takes their food and business seriously. Everything we had was simply delicious! The oysters were so fresh and flavorful, we almost ordered a second dozen. We had a front row seat to all the shucking! It was awesome. The fried chicken sandwich was our favorite order of the evening. Highly recommend! They are usually slammed…year round, so truly plan on a 2+ hour wait. Go early, put your name in and get a drink or apps somewhere. There is no parking, so street parking is your best bet! The service is quick and accommodating. Enjoy!!
When we decided to make a stop in Portland during our most recent trip, Eventide was at the very top of my list for places to try. A few things to know before you go- they don’t take reservations and they are ALWAYS busy. Be prepared to wait. But just know, the wait will be well worth it. We went at about 3:30 on a Sunday, the hostess quoted us an hour to an hour and a half wait, we ended up getting a text about 45 minutes later that our seating was ready. We were sat at the window bar. We ordered a dozen oysters, the lobster roll, chicken bun and the stuffed clams. All were seriously so amazing. The sandwiches were SUPER small but the lobster roll may have been the best I’ve had. And I’ll be dreaming about that chicken bun until I can have it again. Great food, friendly and quick service. Small space that’s guaranteed to always have a waitlist. But do yourself a favor and wait. You will be glad you did!!
The food was excellent and the place was packed on a Monday early evening. The wait was an hour but we opted to stand and got in right away, otherwise it would have been over an hour wait. The food was good and I honestly didn’t realize there were so many species of oysters. The crab roll, lobster roll, oysters and fish sandwich was amazing, definitely a must try and stop by if you’re in Portland, ME.
Eventide was a treat. We were able to snag a spot without reservations early in the afternoon although I imagine we were just lucky as a line quickly formed. Service was helpful and congenial and drinks had a nice variety available.
Food overall was phenomenal with the oysters and inventive ices a great experience. I also want to highlight the lobster roll and pastrami as being delicious too. Would not hesitate to recommend Eventide to a friend or family.
Decent place for oysters, lobster rolls and the like. The wait can be a bit so show up early. Seating is adequate however, the place does get busy and the prices may be steep for some. Definitely a tourist favorite. The menu had ample offerings and the beverage list was good. Service was relatively fast, efficient and courteous however, note that they do like to move people in and out quickly. Worth a stop when in the area.
