I have visited The Capital Grille a handful of times and each visit is a great as the first. The food is of the best quality, the drinks are great, and the service is exceptional. My favorite thing on the menu is the lobster mac n cheese, lamb chops, and crab cakes. Great place for a date night or if you’re wanting an intimate dining experience.
P.S. They saved my life with a last minute reservation on Mother’s Day and even made a special custom dessert plate for my mom that I requested. The waiters go above and beyond!
By Meena Y (7 months ago)The Mac & cheese without the lobster was great. I also had a salmon that was delicious. I could taste all the flavor that the menu listed.
It was a wonderful and comfortable experience. We were dressed casual, my wife and I. Not from the area, we just happened to come from MA to visit a friend. We were suggested Capital Grille. We were made to feel like regulars, super comfortable.By Jammie Morgan (2 months ago)The 1st time we dined at Capital Grill about a year ago was for Mother’s Day. Our waiter Luis was AWESOME. Top notch service, everything was spectacular, food came out fast. We got a complimentary shot of house vodka, champagne & dessert. I even received an extra Rose. It was such a beautiful evening my husband & I went a 2nd time for his Birthday. Our waiter shared knowledge about different wines & what complimented our meals. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Everything was on point. No doubt that staff give 100%By Cyndi Cotto (10 months ago)Food was delicious. Ambience was very nice. Went there to celebrate a birthday with friends. They pay attention to their guest. Our waiter was Chris and he was very nice. The food was good as well. No complaints there. Overall, very nice place to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or a very special occasion. The only thing I didn’t like was they could only split the bill 2 ways. Every one had cards which kinda put us in kind of a bind. But we’re were about to work it out. I would go again but bring cash or a major credit card.
By Melissa M. Seville (7 months ago)This restaurant does not disappoint!!! Made a quick reservation for 4 to celebrate my husband’s birthday!
Reservation- PRO quick & easy online process. I entered the occasion and to my surprise, the staff decorated our table and signed a birthday card for my husband!
Service- PRO waiter super attentive (kept the wine bottles coming) made sure our orders was taken & prepared as requested. We ordered the “special”: boned in Filet with Cajun shrimp & lobster tail!! Cooked to perfection. The waiter also provided the birthday guy cheesecake to celebrate his day!
Facilities- PRO atmosphere & ambiance was great! Valet parking is available.
Cost – PRO it’s a true steakhouse! Bring your wallet & credit card!
Overall, I would definitely recommend The Capital Grille. The food & service is impeccable!By Deana Leach (6 months ago)

Stopped here for drinks after dinner on a weekday. Saw no crowd for the first time while waiting to be seated.
We sat by the bar. The service was good and drinks were good. Nice place to hang out as it stays open long in West Hartford.
By Suparna Banerjee (6 months ago)Whether you prefer chicken, pork, beef, seafood, or vegetables, there are so many options to choose from. Great place to bring picky eaters, you are bound to find something you’ll like. Its a little pricey but overall a good experience.By Ting Li (5 months ago)With all the newer restaurants I sometimes forget Bareclona is still around but glad we got to stop by the other night. Reservation was easy to do online and for some reason this place slows down in the summer. They’ve had OG outdoor seating and it is perfect for summer nights. Flavors are really good and small plates have great variety.Sangria was really light and refreshing as well as the gintonics.
Highlights of the meal were the bikini sandwiches, the salmon, pork belly, and the olive oil cake (comes out warm, has a tangy / citrus taste at first but then the savory finish, cake is moist and kind of like a fluffier pound cake).
Staff here is really one of the shining lights as everyone is personable, low key, and perfectly seamless teamwork as there are different members bringing you food throughout the meal.
My only complaint would be the paella. We ordered the paella salvaje and it was fairly dry. Would definitely love to see a mixed paella that adds some seafood that would help prevent everything from drying out.
By Jeff H (7 months ago)Had such a great experience at Barcelona! Wonderful place for a dinner date. Special Thanks to Rebecca, Chris and Liam! And of course the chefs. Amazing food and desserts.By Amila Becirovic (4 months ago)Such an awesome experience with Michael this past Thursday. We have been in for drinks prior but had never tried their food-we were blown away. The bread they give you to start with is amazing as well as the variety of options. Michael recommended their newest tapas which was green beans with almonds and truffle vinaigrette. These were to die for!! We loved all of Michael’s recommendations as well as his fast and friendly service. Along with the green beans we tried the calamari, potato tortilla, albondigas, steak paillard, and the empanadas. The only tapas we felt was not worth the value was the steak paillard- small portion and tough meat. We will definitely be back to try the other options!By Jenna (8 months ago)

We had the sweetest waitress who was so accommodating it was unbelievable. The food was nice and I had enough to eat for days. Literally. 3/4 of my food went into a doggy bag. I do find however that with the fried foods there is more breading than actual seafood.
My new favorite place!!! Food was absolutely delicious. Drinks were great. Best steak I’ve ever had & the shrimp yummy. My husband loved his chicken dish. Highly recommended!!!
Been sometime since I was here last but it’s as I remember. Wonderful food and service. Atmosphere is comforting and relaxed. Food came out timely, fresh and tasty. 😊
Great complimentary warm bread. Stuffed Jumbo shrimps, the lobster roll were very good. The sides that came with them were delicious as well. Friendly start and service. The decor is very nice, great theme and you can see the tank where the live lobsters will have their days numbered.
Started at the bar. Good selection of alcohols. Ended up with 8 at a table for dinner.
Service was impeccable. Food was in time. Clams were fresh and the lobster delicious. Zero dissapointment in the food, it was great all the way around.
For a large party, they handled us well. Always impressive when a single person keeps up.
Well done USS Chowder.
