At 11am the line was out the door and around the corner. Easily 60-70 people in line. We came back about an hour later and had about a 30 minute wait in line. The food was good. We had 3 orders. The reason for 4 stars is my fried chicken breast was DRY. It definitely sat out a while before it was served to me. Had to get my drink to get it down. The rest of the food was good. We were laughing at people trying to go hold a table before they ordered. They won’t let you sit down at a table unless you have an order number. Overall, go once and experience it. $62 for 2 fried chicken plates, 1 fried fish plate and a slice of cheesecake is a bit steep to do often.By jmike 45acp (5 months ago)Oh-em-gee! The food at Pearl’s Diner was fantastic! I am a native of the area and have lived away for nearly 25 years. I consider myself a connoisseur of southern cooking and this was some of the best southern food I’ve had (except for my mother and mother-in law’s food). The fried chicken was seasoned perfectly. Crispy on the outside. Juicy on the inside. My mom and I had a variety of sides. Everything was fresh and hot. We went for lunch on a Monday and the restaurant was not crowded at all. The service was great. One of the chefs came over to our table to chat!! That was the highlight of our visit. We will definitely be back!By Deidre Lindsey (a year ago)HANDS DOWN the best southern food you can find. So fresh, flavored perfectly. Pearl and all of the others who work here are so dang sweet, too!By K. Ellis (a month ago)Very shocked based on all the high reviews- just spent $20 to support a black owned business. I guess that’s what it’s all about – giving money to a good cause and those that deserve it because I sure won’t be recommending this place for the food. Please see the photo of what $20 gets you here. Very sad and at best at 2 out of 5.By ADAM COPPER (4 months ago)This joint was the real deal! If you like fired chicken and all the southern fixin’s, then you’ll LOVE the food here! Only open for lunch and expect to wait but you will not regret it! You order at the counter in the back and seat yourself, so make sure someone in your party finds a table while waiting in lline!By Fred Sanchez (11 months ago)

The food is not that great for the price. The hibachi was terrible! It tasted so cheap! The salmon was not cooked all the way, it was just terrible. They even charged my 9 year old son full adult price and he’s only a child. Which was $14.99 and he doesn’t even eat much. The service is ok but the Asian people that work or own the place constantly watches your every move. That’s very creepy to me. There website says they close at 9:30pm but they closed at 8:40 pm which is false advertising. The only good thing I can say about this place is that it is very clean and sanitized, but that’s about it. They really need to work on the customer service skills because the Asians there are very rude! The way I’d recommend this restaurant is if they were the last place on earth!By Angel (a year ago)7 adults and 4 kids. Waitress was wonderful and patient. Food was delicious. Crawfish yummy. We are from out of town so we had a family gathering.By Penny Weaver (2 months ago)Food is ok, much of it isn’t very hot. The mushrooms however are the highlight of the entire buffet! They were absolutely amazing! Plastic forks were aggrivating but it was ok.By Robert Newton 5517 (5 months ago)Food quality is low. Dishes sit out on the buffet so long it’s cold. All paper plates and plastic utensils. Just feels like they don’t care about good food any longer.By Byron Byrd (5 months ago)Far too costly for the quality. It was 16$ per adult and 6$ for a kid who was 4. You use plastic cutlery and paper plates. Never paid 50$ for a buffet place before and dont imagine we will go back or recommend until the price drops to at least 12 per person.By Stormy Ethridge (4 months ago)

Great place to eat! Warm atmosphere, great service and good food. The waitress brought our nephew’s pizza rolls fairly quickly so he could go ahead and start eating. Will definitely be going back soon. A
This place is so awesome and really great food! It is probably one of the top five places I have eaten at that is outstanding food. It was the best seafood that I have ever had in my life! I highly recommend this place! You won’t go wrong here at all. My wife would say the same thing!!
We total enjoyed our dinner yesterday while visiting Laurel MS. The service was great. Our waiter Braxton (Rex) was wonderful attentive and charming. The food was excellent and would recommend to anyone.
This place has a great atmosphere and delicious food. The people were kind and inviting too. We felt that the prices were dang good for how tasty it was and how much they serve. If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault.
