This place is the real deal. Family owned, no-frills, all-about-the-food kind of place! We were there in the off season, as soon as they opened, so we walked right in and ordered, our food came out quickly, and we had no problem finding a seat. You can tell that during the summer this place is a mad house. It’s right on a beautiful cove so the view is lovely and you can sit outside or inside, all tables are family style. Menu is really extensive (even if you have someone who doesn’t like seafood) and fairly priced for what you get. You can also get seafood, like lobster and clams, uncooked, to go. We got the lobster roll, haddock sandwich, clam strips, calamari, shrimp cocktail, and chowder. Every single thing was delicious! This place is an institution and we were happy it lived up to the hype. Definitely recommend ?

This is off season when I went but it has everything that generally does during season pretty much except for crowds.

This is an iconic place to stop with traditional favorites lobster included live choose your own.

Location is easy to find with plenty of parking. The view is interesting with the Meadows and waterways.

It was confusing where to actually order. And during season you would order probably from the immediate entrance because they have Windows there but during the off season you have to actually go inside past that area past the cashier go up some stairs to another cashier that’s where the live lobster tanks are and put your order in there they’ll give you a number and they’ll call out your number when it’s ready.

This is a classic place to go. This is a must stop in my opinion. This is the way hospitality was meant to be in a faster pace. Easy picnic table to sit at. Plenty of room for large crowds.

PS the lobster chowder was delicious!

Fresh, delicious seafood! I prefer Brown’s over the other place nearby. Brown’s food is fantastic, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the dining area is very spacious and super clean. There’s plenty of parking, and if you’re there around sunset be ready for an amazing view of the sky as the sun goes down.

Went and had lunch with the Boy’s. This place never disappoints. Great lobster, steamers, fried cls and fried scallops. Eat inside or outside doesn’t matter get your hands in there and get messy. They have 2 sinks set up as a wash station to clean up which is nice.

I really wanted this to be great. I travelled from Corpus Christi to eat here. It was Oct 13th so off season and not busy. I was served an overcooked lobster. Lobster bisque was generic and uninspiring. Onion rings were good. But when lobster is in the name it better be the star of the meal. May have been good/great at some point in the past. Too many other interesting eats close by to give Brown’s a second chance.

This place is really fantastic. Great service, great food, great view, but a bit pricey and they use paper and plastic table settings. I’d definitely come back for the lobster. It’s very good and really generous portions, but still pricey for a place that has homey, small-town, “nothin fancy” vibes.

I LOVE @Newicks Lobster House!! (#Newicks Lobster House) I STILL DONT KNOW HOW @s and #s work; I’m too old; crazy people NOW HAVE TO SAY they are too OLD to know how to get along in this world. No longer able to give sage advice; kids look to friends and phones and that’s where things begin to go…) ..ANYHOW…Anyone who goes here more than once does: and then does again. It can become quite the habit. A good one;) always welcome . Always friendly . You can’t beat the atmosphere. The people are great. A friendly laid back place to relax and eat and check out my art while you’re waiting for your food?! Haha. No really. It’s good.

Have loved this place since I was10 (58 yrs ago)! Queen B was our waitperson today and she was excellent, friendly & upbeat! In our group of 4, the Lobster Stew was great as was the Chowder, Onion Rings, Orig. Lobster Roll, Fried Sea Scallops, Fried Bay Scallops and the Clam Strips.

We went looking for seafood away from all the touristy restaurants, and stopped at Newicks, with a recommendation from locals. Perfect!! Food was great – lobster, haddock stuffed with lobster, lobster stew, shrimp cocktail. Was definitely more of a casual setting, with quaint views. Would definitely return!!

Loved the atmosphere & the food. Prices were fairly reasonable for the portions. We sat at the bar and had great service from Shana. My husband and I shared the jumbo lobster roll and the fried oyster basket. Perhaps the best fried oysters either of us have ever had and a very delicious lobster roll.

I met a friend here for lunch. He had the fried lobster ? tail as an appetizer and fried egg scallops and shrimp. I had a grilled jerk chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich ? hit the spot! My friend, he couldn’t finish his lunch!
Seafood is expensive so price to portion is hard to determine. I thought my sandwich was reasonably priced. Drinks are expensive! $12 for two ? beers! $3.50 for a cup of unsweetened iced tea! Ouch!
Indoor and outdoor seasonal seating. Friendly service.
I’m not big on fried foods or seafood, This restaurant is very popular! So, if you are looking for lobster, my friend says it’s good here!
    Tobasco available on every table!

Went for Lunch with the Dog in tow. Ate outside at picnic tables after ordering from the take out window. Had a 1lb hard shell and twin 1lb soft shell Lobsters with fixings. The service was good, the atmosphere great and best of all the Lobsters were superb. They have a huge menu. Will have to come back to check it out. Great spot if you have dogs and want a great meal.

Food so good we came here twice during our vacation. We had some steamed clams, which were incredibly sweet and juicy. I would have had the basket all to myself if I didn’t have to share them with my family. The clam chowder was delicious. The boiled lobsters were very tasty. The jumbo lobster roll was gigantic and delicious. Everything was very fresh. I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area again.

Petey’s on the ocean boulevard is a place for locals. We had the luck to find one last seat. The seafood place that is open when ever you need it. They don’t do a winter break – we were eating some delicious lobster roll and various seafood dishes in February. There is a parking lot with enough space. Service staff is humble and very human. Is is a good stop when driving up to Maine or the mountains of Vermont.

We went for brunch on Father’s Day. What a wonderful overall experience. We had a very kind server (whose name I forget). She was on her game the entire time despite the fact she was not only making drinks for all servers but also waiting tables. She anticipated all our needs. There was another younger, dark haired server in the same area, I believe her name was Monica and she was amazing as well. Very bubbly and kind despite the fact that they were absolutely nonstop. Food was also great. The only issue was one of the eggs Benedict was a tad undercooked, but given the volume of food they were preparing for that day it was a very minor issue not even worth bringing up! Would definitely recommend checking out their buffet!

We decided to eat here while visiting towns my distant ancestors lived in. Part of Old Salt / Lamies was built in 1740 and I could almost imagine the sound of the lively banter in the restaurant was similar to when my peeps might have eaten here. The bonus? The food was DELICIOUS! My husband ordered the Seafood Nachos (the best nachos of any kind I’ve had in the 40 years I’ve been snitching them) and I had the beef tips which were perfectly prepared and seasoned. Service was friendly, prices were reasonable for the quality and setting. Enjoyed it so much we went back for the Sunday brunch which was huge and featured an entire table of Gluten Free desserts !!!! Make reservations – this place is large and POPULAR !!!!

EXCELLENT accommodations. The staff was way and beyond helpful, friendly. Very clean and SAFE. Awesome continental breakfast, by far the the best. The room service food was delicious! Housesekeepers are great and friendly. They have out door dining as well.( I didn’t have an opportunity to get the pleasure to try) but they certainly had a crowd. Great to bring the children as well. Thanks to all who made my stay comfortable.??

Enjoyed our visit with family. 2 people in party ordered the fisherman’s platter ($40) and was noticeably smaller portions probably due to covid pricing/issues. I had the prime rib 1/3 section was a large chunk of fat & grizzle. I can honestly say it was one third because the rib was in 3rd sections. It didn’t affect the flavor but again when you’re paying well over $200 for 3meals & a couple of iced teas you expect a bit more. Appetizers were delicious, scallops wrapped in bacon with a maple glaze & an order of onion rings. Waitress was checked on us a fair amount of times, 40+ minute wait.
All in all 4 out of 5 stars. We will give it another chance down the road.

Ended up here due to a camping trip. After a long day of setting up our camp sites we were looking for a place to eat. This place was recommended by camp ground staff. I was blown away by this establishment. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had a pretty big party and space was made very quickly. Server was fast, attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. Recommendations were top notch. (Side note… best clam chowder ive ever had). All dishes were cooked to perfection. Will be going back soon.

My girlfriend saw this on Facebook and we had to check it out. We drove out on a Saturday night. The place was packed when we got there around 530. We ordered our food and headed to the bar. We got some drinks and they were delightful. We ended up getting a table on the water and the views were incredible. The atmosphere was so good there. The food took a bit but was so good. We had the twin lobster special with the seafood chowder and a dozen oysters. It was very good for a seafood shack. I would definitely come back. One of the better places on the NH seacoast!

We placed our orders at the front counter and found the best seat in the house out on the deck! Our food was good, the clam chowder was delicious! And the mango drink from the bar was hard to beat!

Great place the haddock was great a very good portion homemade tartar sauce my wife loved the 2 medium lobsters. It has an indoor and outdoor dining. No music but that was a gd thing just talk n enjoy the food. Paid bout 80 bucks for 2 medium lobsters and a haddock n fries n two drinks was worth it. Lastly lobsters were stuffed and ready in 12min

Always an amazing experience here. Seafood is so fresh, the clams are perfectly fried, not oily or greasy at all. The prices are really good too, so you get a lot of food for a really good value. We came all the way from NYC to have it and I come here at least 3 times a year.

Saw Markey’s on FB. We were expecting table service. Instead, Place your order, find a table, go pick up your food, eat, clean off your table. We could have stayed within 30 minutes of home and had the same for less than the $95 plus tip we paid and no lobster. Nick’s of Raymond, Goldenrod of Manchester, Lobster Claw 2 of Derry. Disappointed, but we took a ride along the shore that made it worthwhile.
